Got it to work using the schematic in the link above.  Thanks for the help!

Can anyone help on how to get the bicolor led wired up correctly?

I am finally getting around to finishing this pedal and still have questions about the dpdt switch for bicolor LED.

See the image below for switch.  The two green wires are the two in and out from the board.  The black is a ground wire.
Do I use the second set of poles on the right for the led? Using the center post as the ground? How would this LED get power?

No I didn't etch the board myself. I bought it years ago from someone on the diystompbox forum.

I wired it up with a 3pdt switch in true bypass and LED.  I didn't use that specific wiring schematic for the switching.

I will add the cap, but I'm not sure that is the only thing going on.

This is the schematic i used to wire it up, but I'm not sure this is correct. I can't seem to find a wiring schematic for what goes where off the board to confirm if this is correct or not.

also I don't have an on/off switch.  I'm not sure what that is in this diagram.

If that is your layout you appear to be missing a 1nF capacitor between the two transistors on the bottom left of your first pic

Is this the capacitor your are referring to?  If so,  I don't see a place on the PCB for it to be installed?

Anyone have any experience with this PCB and pedal?

General Questions / Univox superfuzz issue
June 04, 2017, 07:45:54 PM
I am having some major issues with a univox superfuzz build. I put this together based on several schematics I found online. It makes an awful squeeling sound when I plug it up and no guitar signal goes through.  Honestly, I'm not sure I have everything hooked up correctly from the board.  If anyone is familiar with this pedal, can you please take a look and let me know if something looks off.
Also,  can someone possibly mark on my image what should be hooked up where from the PCB?  I just would like to confirm they way I have things hooked up.

Still can't figure this one out. I haven't replaced ic2 or the opto yet.  I'm wondering if that should be my next step?

Should I try replacing IC2?
I went through and checked the resistors and caps and all seem to be correct other than the one you mentioned.

Ok I finally got around to measuring all the voltages of this pedal.  They are shown below.  I found it odd that I had no voltages at the compression pot. I turned it to see if that mattered and it didn't.  Any ideas?

I finished up a 4:1 compressor build and have ran into some problems. With the effect on, it does nothing....there's no compression.  I get sound but no compression.  I just went through and checked all values of parts and everything is correct.  I also reflowed all solder joints. Still getting the same thing.  The compression pot does nothing.  The clean pot works to raise and lower the volume.  With the clean knob down to 0, there is no signal. The comp knob or the sustain knob do nothing.  Any ideas?  Could my opto be cooked?  Picture of board below.

If I turn the clean knob all the way down is the signal supposed to go away?  With the clean pot turned down all the way I get nothing.

I put two layers of electrical tape on the back of my pots to isolate them.

I checked the Delay pot connection and all was good. I checked for solder bridges and resoldered any connection that looked suspect.   Same thing...

I need to try the audio probe as Jacob mentioned above.
