General Questions / Re: Where's the Slow Loris pdf?

Well, it'll link you to all of the old projects. The Slow Loris is listed under the Dist/Boost/OD column.

There's a tab on the Projects Page called "archives".
If you click on that it'll link you to the previous version.

Open Discussion / Re: Adding soft clipping to a Klone?

I would leave R-12 off of the main PCB and run jumper wires from it's spot to a toggle switch. Use a DPDT on/off/on toggle and connect the jumpers to the center lugs.  Also connect the 422K resistor (R-12) across those lugs as well. Then put your two pairs of clipping diodes on the top and bottom pairs of lugs. The 422K resistor will always be in the circuit just like normal. With the toggle in the up or down position you'll be adding either pair of soft clipping diodes. In the center/off position the soft clipping diodes will be out of the circuit and it'll be just like stock.

Still waiting to get the Road Rage boards stocked?
I have an idea for a handful of those so I've been watching.  ;)

Very tidy in there!
How do you like using the MLCC caps in place of the more typical box-film type?
I've been considering doing the same but haven't tried yet. Still just have a bunch of the usual smaller values....

Been digging this idea for a while now. Just pulled the trigger yesterday on a 1/2 height rack with 12 sheets (not sure why they include 12 when it will only hold 10) and a clear plastic cover. Hopefully shipping doesn't take too long, I'm really trying to organize my space better to help workflow. Thanks for the inspiration!

Yeah, definitely the same thing as the 999. Iím guessing itís pretty close to the 909 which I did find a schematic for. Just wanna make sure Iíve got the right one in case there are more than a couple basic tweaks.

Anybody know where I can find a schematic for the old Roto Tone 1 from Maxon?
The closest thing I could dig up was the 909 but thatís not quite the same.

Build Reports / Re: Sailor Moon set of 1590G projects

Out of curiosity,  is the sawse using one of the new re-issue vactrols?

Yeah, I ordered a few from Small Bear. Seems to work okay but the effect isn't quite as pronounced as I had expected. I'll probably socket the next one a lot and try messing around with some other component values too.

Inspired by my daughter's love of Sailor Moon, we've just finished a set of all ten 1590G projects including the discontinued Sawse. We built them in 1590B enclosures though. Definitely easier to work with and still a good fit for the control layouts.
I had the idea right after Brian released the "G" projects but we just finally got around to finishing them.
We're going to be debuting them at a local gamer/anime/comic con her in Jackson, MI on August 24th. We'll have a table set up in the Vendor's hall with some other game/anime inspired builds.
Just need to finish making up some cables and getting everything wired up!

Open Discussion / Easier ordering 1/8W resistors from Tayda
« on: July 09, 2019, 05:45:19 AM »
There are a bunch of things I donít mind ordering from Tayda. Iíve never had any problems with their resistors and ordering the 1/4W metal films is super simple with their ďeasy orderingĒ page. Iíve started having a couple of PCBs made recently that are laid out for 1/8W resistors and thought ďsure would be nice if they had that option for those tooĒ.
So I sent them a message via Facebook. They responded pretty fast and it looks like itíll be happening soon!

General Questions / Re: Source for scored ribbon cable?
« on: June 16, 2019, 08:55:25 AM »
Mouser is out of the six conductor which is what I was using. They do have some eight conductor stuff as well. It works for me perfectly (better than the six actually) because I can trim off two wires and use them from the DC jack to the board and still have the six conductors left to go from the main board to my bypass boards.

I want to try ordering some printed enclosures but haven't done it before. Can anyone share their process for getting graphics onto their templates and submitted for printing? I'll probably try messing with it tonight a little bit.
I do all of my graphics in Inkscape and have been printing decals on my own. I just want to make sure I'm getting it right before I spend a lot of money in trial and error.
Mammoth has a minimum order of 10 pieces to get the price break on the setup fees, PPP is 20......
PPP has far more options for powder coat colors. Mammoth will do custom colors but.....
Anyway, pros/cons to both and any tips on successfully submitting print templates would be greatly appreciated!
