The page on his site says he'll email a zip containing, among other things, a wiring diagram. Did he send you the wiring diagram?

Did not. I purchased my boards in an old sale not listed on the site anymore. In that sale he made it clear he would not offer help or diagrams. Everyone who builds effects from PCBs were like "no big deal, I can off board wire." Here we are though.

He probably added the "wiring diagrams" after people complained about the weird pad labels/wiring and parts completely missing off the BOMs.

It's been a year since he started selling these PCBs so you'd think there'd be some info out there but I've been scouring the web all day looking for anything and it's still pretty scarce.

To clarify further, the dude from abominable is no help here. He stayed up front he wouldn't offer help at all and I confirmed this with him directly a few days ago.

Hey all! Long time no post. With the ol plague outside I've had time to get back into building pedals. I have a handful of PCBs from Abominable that I don't understand the off board wiring for. See the two pics attached. Anybody here have suggestions they are willing to share?

Hell yes! Not like I have a pile of boards that are years away from being completed or anything. 

This looks great! One of favorite recent builds here.

Finally saw The Bronx for the first time last night and they are exactly what I hoped for. Those boys are riff monsters with all the cool gear. If you like bands like Turbonegro and The Hives, but wish they sounded like they were addicted to uppers then they are the band for you.

On a side note I have become such a gear snob. I can't go to shows anymore and not inspect what the band is suing and then stick my nose up at them. haha.

I have a 70's era LP and it had this happen twice. This all happened before I got the guitar. The first time it was repaired poorly and I think was the main contributor to the second break. Anybody have a ballpark idea of what this repair generally runs?

The qoute i was given was 75 dollars just to get it playable again. If I wanted more cosmetic work it could get into the 150 range. If the break is bad enough where rods are needed for support it could be up to 250.

Damn! That is way cheaper than I would have ever expected. I guess I'm going to have a Les Paul in my arsenal!

Wow - what technique did you use for the circle graphics?  Looks great!

My lady friend traced some circles on the base paint layer and painted over them. Simple as that. I say simple... Had I tried to do the art in this manner it would have looked like a cave man painted it.

Here a couple of builds I finished over the weekend...



This is the second LWA Overdose I have put together. The first was in a massive enclosure and was my first working build. For this one I shoved everything into an enclosure half the size. I was encouraged not to attempt this but came out working great, even if it isn't pretty. For the transistors I used BC182's instead of the metal cap 2N2222a(?) that Joe from LWA uses and am much happier with the results. It's not as "soul crushing" as Joe puts it.



I have wanted to build a reverb pedal for a while and got this board six months ago. For various reasons, mostly laziness, this build kept getting pushed to the side. A few weeks ago a friend of a friend found out I was on the DIY train and asked me to build a spacey reverb for him so he ended up with the pedal. I really liked playing this one and will probably get another for myself sooner or later. Next time I will use a smaller box though.

I finally feel like I'm understanding the basics of building even though I don't get to spend a lot of time with the hobby. Much thanks to this board and all its members for all the help you've provided me thus far.

note: I'm open to some other reverb options out there for my next reverb pedal.

I'm a big fan of stoner rock and have tried to get on with Electric Wizard, and I just can't. For some reason it just pushes it's thing that little bit too far.

The new Prodigy sounds interesting. Word has it, the best album since Fat of the Land.

I have tried to get into them as well and just can't. However, every now and then a song will pop up on Spotify that I will be totally into.

Lately I have been listening to a whole bunch of The Hives, Sleep, and Captain, We're Sinking.

I have about 100 of these and can toss some in envelopes for folks wanting to give them a try. I still haven't tried them but they are tiny!
