General Questions / Boards' in the UK
July 20, 2021, 11:52:06 AM
I appreciate that postage to the UK seems to be an issue currently. Brexit sucks muchly.

Is there anyone getting PCB's made In the UK that wants to sell me a board or 2? Or failing that is there anyone that has Gerber files that they wouldn't mind sharing so I can get some of my own made? I don't seem to have issues getting stuff shipped from JLCPCB.

I appreciate this is someone else's work so I of course wouldn't mind paying for Gerber's etc.

Currently, I'm after a Compressor and a Big Muff which admittedly I could probably source in the UK if I really tried, but I do want more complex boards later.

Hello everyone.

I am looking to use this chip https://www.diodes.com/assets/Datasheets/AP3015_A.pdf as a DC-DC boost to take my battery voltage to around 9V to use in some of my pedal projects but its been a while since my highschool electronics classes (I'm 40 in 3 weeks :) )

The maths to get to Vout is:

Vout = 1.23V*(1+r1/R2)

Which should be simple enough but the "1.23V" is confusing me. I would have that that means 1.23*V but if thats the case I dont know what V is, and why would it use the * on the next multiplacation.

If would be great if one of you clever people could help

Thanks in advace.

I can't get some boards I need due to the international postasge embargo so am going to try my hand at making the boards myself here in the UK.

The boards I want to make (and have already bought all the parts for) are the cupcake https://www.madbeanpedals.com/projects/_folders/1590A/schematics/Cupcake2020.gif

I understand the schematic pretty will with the acception some what I think are pads which I have highlighted in red here.

Cany anyone tell me what these are please?

Thanks in advace.
