I was hoping this made it into the shop.

General Questions / 1/4 w resistor on the RabbitHole
January 16, 2022, 08:29:08 AM
The BOM shows three 1/8w 100 ohm and one 1/4w 100 ohm resistor. However, there is no documentation on which resistor is the 1/4w. Does it matter as long as there is a 1/4w resistor in the circuit?

Edit - Mouser does have them. My search fu was weak.

Seeing as Small Bear isn't restocking, I've tried Google to find another source, but can only find stuff like SMD caps. Neither Tayda nor Mouser seem to have them.

General Questions / Re: 1/4w VS 1/8w resistors

All four are designed for 1590a enclosures. But it seems the answer is that I need to get 1/4w for the builds that have that in the BOM.

Well, I bought a 1/8w and a 1/4w kit, but only the 1/8w showed up. I bought the Donut, Hipstet, Rabbithole and got the Violenzz free. Two use 1/8 and two use 1/4. If I could use the 1/8 in the 1/4 w PCB's, that'll save me a bit of money.

General Questions / 1/4w VS 1/8w resistors

If I've rwad and understood it correctly,1/4w resistors can be used in place of 1/8w resistors with little issue, but not vice versa, correct?

General Questions / Re: Question about film caps

Looking like Topmay TMC05. I might box it in a 1590G as a first build. That would probably give me a bit more room. Thanks for info. It's been 30 years since I built circuits.

General Questions / Question about film caps
January 11, 2021, 10:18:39 PM
I'm looking for nanofarad film caps for my Donut, but all I find are micro and pico caps. I know 47nF is .047uF. Are these values interchangeable in capacitors?
