I see there's a Jumper 2x on the BOM... But I'm only seeing one pair of pads for jumpering down near the bottom next to the LFO chip.  Am I missing something?

Current status... all resistors, chip sockets, diodes, and transistors populated.  About to start caps.

Mine is reporting as delivered by USPS but never showed. Hope it gets sorted...

Anyone? I should know this but does out of phase even matter when considering a clean blend addition to a heavy fuzz or distortion?

Bit the bullet on this one.  Couldn't resist.  $80 for a whetstone kit with OG enclosure?  Yes please.

Also... after thinking more on it... is the phase inversion only really an issue when the two signals are similar (as in mod effects) and less relevant (or entirely irrelevant) when there's heavy distortion involve and the blended signals are significantly different?

So likely a mistake to add this due to the out of phase output?

Hoping to adapt both these pedals for bass by adding a clean blend which includes a buffer and doesn't like inverted phase.  I have no idea how to determine if these invert... can anyone here help?

I’ll preface this post by noting that about 10 years ago now I read every science focused diet book I could find. The common denominators with  a couple of exceptions are to eat whole foods, avoid most grains, and avoid inflammatory foods (for most, dairy, beans, etc). It should go without saying that processed foods should also be avoided as well.

Anyway, through my own experimentation I landed on a mostly paleo diet. Through that I lost what little fat I had and, along with exercise (weight lifting), gained that weight back and then some as muscle. About 3 yrs ago I was diagnosed type 1 diabetic. And before this goes offf the rails, that’s the autoimmune one where your body attacks and kills the insulin producing cells in your pancreas, so my diet choices do not influence getting this. Anyway, since then I’ve reincorporated some carbs to help ease the process of medicating. This has come with a price; a bit more fat, a bit less energy, and a general heaviness when I eat outside my paleo diet. But it is what it is. Just noting as, without the diabetes, I’d be sticking to my prior diet.

So, this brings me to a brief but blunt commentary on ethics of diet... I’ll apologize in advance for sounding like an asshole.  I’d say your highest ethical obligation is to choose a diet that is healthy for yourself and your family. Personal choices here will not affect global change and martyring your health isn’t worth it. Unfortunately, your personal choices affect nothing other than your personal health. I know you’ll probably disagree, but I see no changes that result from such choices beyond the growth of the vegan processed foods section in my grocery store.

I’ll also add my personal interpretation for why vegetarian and vegan diets fail. These diets would only have been adopted, historically, in times of hardship. Hell, farming grew out of the hardship of supporting and feeding large groups of people. Anyway, as a result, one can sustain on such a diet, but will not thrive. And before anyone starts pointing to a healthy vegan or vegetarian they know, take your own survey of the unhealthy ones and measure your odds. I’d say it’s more likely they’re healthy despite their dietary choice, not because of it.

Final thought, reigning it back in, whatever diet you choose, ditching processed foods and being committed to just that step will make you far better off and far healthier than most. So, if you get only that far, you’re doing something right.

Looks great.

1590a builds give me anxiety.

Yea... I don't have a ton of excess energy and time to devote to learning about building and electronics at the moment which is OK.  And I can definitely say the experience of "flow" is far away from this hobby at the moment.  For example, I'm particularly turned off by offboard wiring which is most of the work ahead of me to finish up what I've been working on.  It really takes a lot of work to make it super clean and it's the same rote tasks over and over.  Yuck.  That's OK though.  I'll set those aside for days when I'm just looking to relax and mindlessly kill some time (who knows when that'll be...).

Anyway, on the bright side, I finished another Echo Bender delay today that's been on my half-finished pile for the last year (like the 10th+ one I've built, but this one I'm keeping).  It's a super versatile delay/distortion/noisemaker and I highly recommend anyone who is interested in something totally usable but a bit different to check it out.  I also built up the Quaverato kit from Zeppelin Design Labs.  I have to say that thing is flipping awesome.  Highly recommend it.  I'm currently kicking myself for not getting the midi add-on.  I didn't see it when I originally ordered or I would have built it in.  Now that it's done I'm very unlikely to go back and add it.  It's a great pedal though.

So progress has been made.  And I think I've come to the conclusion that...

-- I should clear out some things I'll be unlikely to use and rid myself of some of my clutter
-- On future projects, I'll purchase what I want, build to completion and avoid stocking up on extra "stuff"
-- Also in the meantime, I'll keep making incremental progress on projects when I have time, but not pressure myself to get through the pile
-- I'll also avoid buying anything else until I finish my pile... I hope
-- Finally, I'm likely going to start keeping what I build... It's just not worth selling this stuff and some day it may inspire something in me that is worth more than the tiny return (if any) that could be produced by selling

I find metric is easier for math, but harder to understand... For example...

Can you conceptualize a pound?, a psi? a psf?  Likely.

But tell me what a kilonewton feels like.  Or a Pascal.  This convenient system of measurement

Then again... what the hell is a slug?
