That's right New Job Day!!! Ok well Sunday is my first day but I was hired today!

I am now an employee of the Roscoe Beer Company.
If you haven't tried any of their beers, you should check them out!
It is the first job I have had in a while that I was actually excited about.

So Saturday night around 10:30 I got out of the shower and noticed a strange noise. It was almost like firecrackers. So I walk out into the hallway to find the stairway to the attic filled with smoke. Turns out we had a chimney fire which caused the pipe from our woodstove to get so hot it caused the items in close proximity to ignite. Luckily I was awake and was able to get everyone out safely. Also very lucky that it was contained to the third floor. Unfortunately we lost alot of stuff we had stored up there but they are only things. I am so grateful that the rest of my family is safe.



It got so hot the paint ran!

PS. Does anybody know how to get the smell of burning plastic out?

Whats up everybody?
I was just wondering if any of you were on jam kazam. It's a program that lets you jam with people over the internet.

Anyway I thought it would be cool to bring it to everyones attention if they haven't heard of it.
Maybe get a forum jam group going.

New Korg PadKontrol Day! Just got this used from Guitar Center today.

Unicorn Electronics!!!

The closest major city to me is Binghamton and is like hour and a half away. So we were down there doing some grocery shopping and I needed a couple things (flux and some tweezers).
We were in Lowes and I figure well I will check and see if they have flux for electronics, knowing that it was a shot in the dark, I ask one of the guys working and he brings me over to the plumbing section with the torches and the acid core solder. Well I tell him none of that stuff will work and he say well the only places he can think of that might have electrical flux is Radioshack or Unicorn Electronics. After going on a bit of a tirade about Radioshack I ask the guy how to get to Unicorn. He said it was a street by the mall he can never remember the name of.
So with that wealth of information I looked it up on my phone to find this is the kind of place I have been looking for since I started with electronics. Most of what they have is directed more toward the computer crowd as far as I could tell but they were very kind and helpful. Plus it was nice not having to go to Radioshack and pay more for less. And compared to the last electronics supply place I went to (IEI Electronics) it was orderly and brightly lit.

Now I just need to figure out how to harvest their tears! lol.

I just picked up a Rat 2 from a high school friend. It has the op07cp chip and so far I like it alot but I was wondering if swapping that for the lm308n would really make it that much better.

Hey guys I am trying to finish up a systech od build and the doc calls for a 2n5172.
I have searched high and low on Google and cannot seem to find an answer for a substitute tranny so I figured ask the knowledgeable folks of the madbean forum.
So is there a more common substitute or should I just order one?
