look, we are currently playing a song from Die Toten Rosen (Tage wie diese) and i was setting up the DD-7 of my friend in order to get the dotted eight delay.
My question is, do you know some trick to get the same with the Zero point DD or sea urchin without a Tap tempo?
the trial and error is exhausting...

this is a sort of contiuation of my last post (sorry for that).
I was reading about attenuators and it seems to be an option for my Volume problem on a Marshall Haze 40w.
I also found that some people add a "attenuator" which is basically a Volume know on the effects loop. I understood the differences between both ways of reducing overall volume but still have some doubts:
with the volume pot on the effects loop would be possible to crunk it up the amp volume and still be possible to reduce the volume keeping the tone?
What are your thoughts ?: build an attenuator (any good layout for a 40w amp) or a Master volume control?
My main target is to keep a nice tone (doesnt need to be perfect) with a relatively low volume for rehearsals.

Dear Experts.
as usual another trouble on my way.
I´ve got some time ago a Marshall Haze 40w (2x EL34 and Celestion G12T-66 12 ).
Im trying to setup the volume/tone for rehearsal. The damn thing is too, tooo loud already on the clean channel.
The volume pot starts to kick on the 2 (8´clock) and it really goes till 11
I read lods of information regarding on how to get the best sound out of it regarding volume/tone. Some people suggests attenuator, but i´ve never used and have no clue about it (sharing experiences highly welcome

So, to fit all the band, i have to set my volume to 3 max 4, which is already loud for a small room. Sounds crap of course, no juice from the Valves
Somehow, i started to experiment and after long 6 hours i managed to reduce the volume by adjusting the volume of my pedals.
i reduced a lot the volume of the pedals and then, increased the volume of the Amp (clean channel). it sounds ok (just ok).
i have a strong feedback as well which goes away when i reduce the volume of my Fuzz face ( Amp>Crybaby>TS>FF>ZeroPoint DD)
of course, if i want to turn the pedal off for a clean signal, will blow some brains in the room :S
Im kind of lost on the possibilites of improvement.
I would like to ask your help here considering that i still want to keep this Amp (low budget )
other question: is a 40W really too much for rehearsal?

Hey Guys,
im intrigued with a new problem.
when i play a CD player through my band's mixer in order to hear the song through the PAs everything is ok. But when i use an ipad or iphone player, it sounds like some filtering is happening. Sometimes i can hear just the backing vocals of a song for example.
im using the same cable, just switching the ipod or iphone X CD player..
any clue of what is happening?

I can find some on ebay, but it´s like jumper wires and i think that are to thin.

After some worldcup holidays i had time to finish the cupcake for a friend.
I have nothing to add that has been already said. It's a smooth compressor which don't affect the tone (IMO) and that can be used as a slight booster!
Really great! It was quite a tight fit and i still suffering with the envirotex to cover the sides of the enclosure! Here a tip: after mixing the resin, leave it rest for 10 min untill it get a higher viscosity! Than shrinking on the edges are minimized!

Just tested my double flush temporarely using a 10k log for the intensity! Well, im very happy with it! The only thing that il not sure if its ok is: when i adjust the BAL to full, i get s slight distortion( crunch). I thought that the balance its only to mix between the wet and dry signal, something wrong here or is this normal?

I have only 10K log to use for the intensity pot. I know that is ok to substitute in certain cases but im not sure here.
I believe it will just respond slowly (have to turn more for higher intens.) but still do the job. is this correct?

just reading the notes of the Retrograde and there is an example using an SPDT (on/on) instead of an on/off.
i have a DPDT on/on . could i also somehow use it? i understand the the 2 rows of 3 lugs are isolated from each other, just not sure if i could use only one row as a spdt..

hey guys, as usual i have to post some problems with my last build. It was working fine but i didnt know that the volume should be muuuch louder. I've read some posts and followed some suggestions.
i cann hear the full power on Q2 but in Q3 its the same as with my output, much lower.
ive changed transistors , 5088's and the same issue.
i was poking with the audio probe and i noticed a decay in volume on C8. One side is loud and the other side is quiter, but i dont know if this is normal or not.  Capacitors can reduce input volume or just filter frequences?

I love the versatility of this pedal!
The only thing that im not sure is about the volume. in my build, its starts to get the same volume as bypassed at around 3:00 and louder from 5:00. its normal?

Hey guys.
just finish the Cupcake for a friend of mine. Im not much familiar with compressor so i need your help. The only mod that i did from the original is to add a 10k A instead of B pot.
First thing, adjusting the SUS trim , i get no sound on "3" and distortion on "1".
For me is working as a booster . To get still a clean sound, i have to turn only 1/8 the trim but the volume is already increased. I still can set it before having the distortion as it is described on the Build info. However, i dont really notice big difference from 1/4 to max compression. Starts to distorce very easy.
Just need to know what is the best way to set the compressor.

When i was almost posting about my problem with a mudbunny triangle, i decided to build a Audio Probe (i know i should have done that before )
so, i was having no output at all while engaged , bypass working.
so, i was taping the components, and as it was my first time, i was so impressed with the different sound and how much you can learn by using it. now i understand when you guys talk about capacitors that filter this and that...    (uhuuuuu)
REally, for me is a Milestone!
and by fulling around with an mp3 song i was able to filter off the vocals  of a song.
BUT, the voodoo part (there is always a voodoo), all the components were ok, or at least, all the signal was coming through as it should (i think ).
Than, i reconnected again on my testbox, and voila, all working perfectly. I move the cables around and no bad connection....
Weird ah? AH, that was after 3 hours work! just to see that was actually working!
any similiar experiences?

Im not sure if i have always got the same footswitches, but recently buying most of them from Banzai.
So far, no problem at all with the mechanics of it.
The only thing i've noticed is that,  now that i used one of them for my wah pedal,  i can hear an annoying "mechanical" noise when the pedal pushes the switch down. i think that for most pedals where we want just to switch it on and off its not a problem, but, when you are using the wah up and down, i can here the switch noise.
(i believe that playing with a band wouldnt be a problem, but practicing at home is quite annoying).
Anyone noticed that as well?
PS: with the original dunlop 2pdt, i cant hear anything. The switch is very tight. I've changed for other taiwan blues and the ones i have showed the same noise.

Bahhh! My washer machine wasnt doing the fast spinning process. After reading some information on forums it seemed that has to do with the door interlocking switch! The damn thing is quite interesting: when the door is closed, the electrons flow through a metal stick that bends with the heating closing the connection sending the info to the pcb that its safe to spin! I opened, and checked the resistances when on and off and everything was as it should! Only a little oxidation on the contacts which i cleaned annnnnnd voil'a! Working like a charm!
My motivation was: Damn it i can build effect pedals, i can repair this crap! Uhuuuuuuu
Im sooo happy! 0 costs and full satisfaction!

im visiting the "land of the free" for a business trip and normally i would bring a guitar with me...
this time i think i will bring something else...
Im wondering about the solderless cable kits, if it worth the money. For those experients fellows that build they own calbes, what are your thoughts.?
I like the idea of building my own cables and it seems that by soldering the cables, the probability of troubles are reduced...but im not experinced on the road, like changing pedals positions a lot, etc...
By the way, im going to Cincinnati and if some of you guys have a good sugestion for a music shop, its highly appreciated...

im starting doing the LED mod for my crybaby and saw in different instructions that the CLR should be soldered on the negative lid of the LED.
i always followed the MB standard wiring and there the CLR is soldered on the positive lid, what always made sense for me.
I thought that the electrons have to pass first through the resitor and then reach the LED and flows to the negative part...
this might be very stupid, but i got confused!!!
and well, it seems that both ways woks! i just dont really got how....
