I designed a circuit to fill a lot of the demand I see on TGP. It's called the TGPedal. Sounds like taking a blanket off your amp, really gives it that extra sizzle in the lower/upper mids, but completely transparent. Anyway, which wiring do you guys think would sounds better?:

Where are you guys getting your LM308s? Small Bear doesn't have them anymore... what is the world coming to? I don't trust eBay. Mammoth want 3$ a piece for them and I don't want to give them my money if I can help it.

The build quality is shockingly awful. For $439.99 new? I wouldn't pay more than $30 for one. These things can't possibly be gig-worthy? In just this photo, I'm concerned by:
- sockets on the SPDT with heatshrink to hide the fact that they're likely only held on there by solder
- 30-50% of the components socketed, including one flying lead that looks like it's only connect by sockets
- poorly cut perf that looks like it's mounted with 3M tape?
- standing resistors whose leads look ready to short out on each other
- socketed clippers that just hang between the board and switch
How are these things not failing left and right?

I've got a Pod 2.0, and it's awesome. Cheesy sounding, but there're a lot of fun tones in there. It's great for doing scratch tracks if you don't want to set up different gear for different parts, or if you can't get a hold of that one amp of effect you need for a bridge and it doesn't need to be perfect. On the other hand, a lot of the gainier tones tend to be woofy and fizzy. I've been thinking about one of the HD Pods. Are they that much better, or is it the same kind of cheeseball sound with more fancy options?
