Open Discussion / Rotisserie Motor Box Idea
February 14, 2018, 04:28:03 AM
I picked this up for $3. Old Farberware rotisserie motor. Besides the rectangular outlet hole, I think this could make a rad pedal enclosure. What circuit to put in it... probably a fuzz. And I was thinking of cutting a translucent piece of plastic to fill the outlet hole for a massive indicator light. Anyone else recycle one of these for a pedal?

Open Discussion / Stompbox Cookbook

So, I finally found my copy in some of my old stuff at the folk's house. I was just wondering if anyone has actually built any of these circuits? I read the book a lot, but there seems to be no record of anyone actually rolling one up. I am not a fan of the monster layouts, but a couple of these phase circuits look really interesting and very complex.

Open Discussion / Tayda Alpha PC Pots

Just got my order today and noticed that the pots are a little different than past purchases. I only got a few 25kB but they do not have dust covers and the shafts are not the undersized ones like normal. Looks just like the ones from SB. No problems, just thought it was interesting that they are now different.

I've had these damn things since I first got into the pedal thing when I was 16 or so. Now I have no idea what to do with them because they somehow became rare in the last few years. All brand new but I have no way of testing them. Suggestions? Anyone really need them?

It works kind of. I can hear phasing but it seems like Q2 doesn't do anything(matched pair of 2n5457 reversed orientation from 2N5952) and the blend pot is most intense in the middle position. I can't see any solder bridges or obvious errors. Any help debugging this thing would be greatly appreciated.
