When a datasheet like the one attached gives "Mounting Hole Details", am I meant to drill the PCB holes with the measurements provided (in the example  2.1 x 1.8mm) or should I add extra room?

Like the title says, the current .pdf for StageFright24 is missing R51 which according to the schematic should be a 4k7 current limiting resistor for the status LED. Just thought you should know!

I am still learning about op-amps, and while I think I have a decent grasp on how to use them, I am concerned with the amount of gain they are capable of producing. I have some TL072s that I wanna mess around with, but I don't want to send 8+ volts to my amplifier. Is there a good rule of thumb or something when it comes to pedal building with regards to how much your circuit should output? I've tried looking for my amp's input voltage specs, but everything I find is about the supply voltage, not the signal voltage. Maybe I am missing something obvious. Thank you guys! Pic is just an example of a hard-clipping dual op-amp circuit I wanna breadboard when I thought to ask this question.

Build Reports / First Ever Pedals
September 02, 2024, 07:35:53 PM
Just wanted to show off my first three Madbean pedals. From left to right is Freeloader, Transponder, and Laureate Jr. That's also the order I built them in and you can really see improvement across the three. They all sound amazing and I can't wait to get my next batch of PCBs in tomorrow to build some more. I've learned a lot with just these three, and I think the next ones are going to go a lot more smoothly and hopefully before long I'll be able to start designing / modding my own.

General Questions / Typo on store

Brian, I tried to message you directly, but I couldn't pass the freaking captcha, lol! Anyway, the "Pork Barrel" PCB is listed as $2 instead of $12. It does ring up properly when added to the cart, though. Just thought you should know.

General Questions / Project Suggestions
August 02, 2024, 11:26:34 PM
About 6 years ago I bought a 2017 Moodring PCB and got as far as the pictures indicate before I realized I was missing a component and I never came back to it, unfortunately. I was just getting into electronics at the time and probably bit off more than I could chew at the time, but now I have much more experience and better equipment and really want to get back into making pedals. I figure if I am going to buy a PCB, I may as well go ahead and get 3 or 4 of them at the same time, and I am looking for suggestions. I will very likely be giving one away to my friend for his birthday, and he is a lead electric guitarist. I am thinking about Bearhug for him. Other than that, I really don't care about the effect as I am mostly interested in getting into the hobby and learning more about electronics, so if it's a fuzz, delay, compressor, eq...don't really care. I am just hoping some of you could point me towards some good boards that I can get started with and learn a thing or two. Thank you all very much in advance for the help!
