General Questions / Harbinger 2 R52
August 30, 2023, 06:20:59 AM
Needed more speed out of my harbinger 2 build. After some F-ing about looks like if I lower the value of R52 I can attain the speeds I needs. Does lowering R52 introduce any circuit instability? Thinking 10-13k which brings the light resistance down to 1.9-4.8k without locking the lfo. Could I go lower if needed?

Looking for a little help from someone who has successfully built one of these. Alternately, does anyone have a schematic perhaps?

Tech Help - Projects Page / Tourbus no modulation
August 07, 2022, 11:38:50 AM
Mkay good folks, Tourbus is all but complete. Everything is working except for the modulation. I have verified component values around IC4 and IC5 and reflowed the joints. I have swapped both ICs w/o change. Voltages track on IC5, but IC4 is reading -13.52v on pin 3. The only other voltage oddities are on pins 1-3 of IC3 which are reading in the 100-200mV range. I have also verified component values and reflowed around this IC as well. I can get modulation if I manually move the mod knob. I stayed with the stock switch. Same for both mod types. Presuming LFO is locked up, but not sure why. Pics of board are attached. Footswitch is stock wiring config, no issues with audio passing. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Ok, the first part of this question, does the ext jack on the Wavelord retain the wave shape when combined to another opto driven pedal? I REALLY hope so because that would make the second part of this question just friggin awesome. The Parasit studio Sonic Reducer board has the option to add an opto driven lfo mod board which the mod is basically just 2 pads to receive LDR input, so, if the Wavelord CAN feed the receiving LED the same wave shape, could I not just attach an LED to a 3.5mm jack in the sonic reducer, solder an LDR to the mod pads and have the ability to drive the modulation from the Wavelord? Please say yes. PLEASE SAY YES!

General Questions / Tour bus power
July 04, 2022, 09:23:57 AM
This will sound like a very noob question that might call into question the wisdom of starting this project (never stopped me before), but before I smoke $36 worth of BBD chips, the Tour bus runs 18v DC, not AC correct?

General Questions / Slurpee/Fluffgirl
April 10, 2022, 07:40:56 AM
Was the Slurpee ever a production board here at MBP? I didn't see it in the archive. There has been some interest expressed in the BassBalls circuit (with Hammer mods) over at PedalPCB forum and in my search of the web came across the Slurpee schematic. Just wondering if there are any boards floating out there for the Slurpee, or the Fluffgirl.

Mods / Lectric FX Abacus: step suspend/stop switch
December 28, 2021, 05:07:21 AM
New guy here looking for some help verifying a mod thot. Waiting for abacus boards to get back in stock, but would really like a switch to suspend/stop individual steps. My thought is to drop them in between the Q pins of the 4015 and leg 1 of the tuning pots to cut the connection. Will this have the desired effect w/o destabilizing the circuit, or killing the subsequent steps? Your keen technical evaluation is appreciated.
