General Questions / double delay layouts
January 31, 2012, 12:31:16 AM
well I'm sick of getting hosed on 3005 chips so its time for the 4x3008 hack on my dirtbag. Trouble is smallbear has a double sided layout. Anyone know of a single sided layout or even better a vero? Figured I'd ask before trying my own. Thanks!

Well after the lowrider, current lover and dirtbag I could use a break like dirt on vero with like 40 solder joints total for an easy afternoon project. Here is a certain transparent overdrive looking sharp in PPP mercedes blue. I forgot how great this circuit was: it isn't the best OD in the world but it is the best stacking OD in the world. It's really at it's best running with more dirt in the chain. Thanks to Tayda for making this build come in under 40 bucks!

Tech Help - Projects Page / mudbunny tone control tips?
October 20, 2011, 10:04:26 AM
So I built up a Mudbunny last week following the Triangle Muff specs with added mids control, no other mods. For the most part it sounds good [gain monster!!!] but my tone control might be acting funny. The sweet spot is very narrow and lies at around 3 o'clock. Is this normal and if not anybody have some tips on widening the usable range of the tone pot and maybe shifting the 'balanced' low/high point more toward noon? Thanks!!

General Questions / loris question
October 08, 2011, 12:09:40 PM
So I am building the Slow Loris and I didn't order up any 30pf caps. Can I sub in a 50pf or would it be better to tie two 50pf in series for a closer match to the original value?

Build Reports / silverfox and snarkdoodle builds
August 29, 2011, 02:28:24 PM
Can't think of a better first post than some builds so here they are! Thanks to Madbean and Haberdasher for the PCB's, so much neater and easier than perf or strip.

This is my silverfox/LTD with external mids control and socketed tone resistor for tweaking fun. I have settled on a 33k for lots of tone sweep without really screwing with the sound of the pedal. It's like a pint sized single channel half gainer, I love it.

Here is a red llama with boost toggle. No guts at the moment, I'll post em up when I open the sucker again.
