Hi ,  i was looking at the TDA2105 and I was wondering if it s a pin for pin replacement for the mn3005 .

I cant find the datasheet online .

I just bought a EHX neo clone for 25$ used and I must say that it s the best 25 Ive ever spend in guitar gear . Sounds really good . It has a mn3207 ic in it but it doesn t look like it s been made by cool audio or beilling .

At 70$ new it s probably the best chorus pedal you can get under 150$ IMO .

Hi, I just bought a used TC Electronic classic booster + distortion really cheap . The guy said that the foostwistch was not working so he sold it to me for 45 $ .

When I came back to my home I tested that footswitch with a continuity tester and it looks like it s working like it should . The pedal is always on and it wont bypass even with a working footswitch .

Anybody knows what can cause this ?

I have a bunch of 300kb pots that I want to tranform into 100kb . Since my DMM is out of order I cant test it so can somebody can correct me if Im wrong :

Will it works if I put 1 75k between lug 1 and lug 2 And another 75k between luh 2 and lug 3 .
Will it works without affecting the taper .

After wasting like 3 hours trying to troubleshoot my pork barrel I found that my mn3101 bought locally was a fake . I know there are mn3005 , mn3007 ... fake . But  Jesus Christ now even the mn3101 ...

Hi , here is my new low rider octaver . It sounds really good .

I`ve used oa90 diodes for d1-d2 , d8-d9 . My 4013 are  motorolla mc4013b . Ic1 is an opa2604 , Q1 is a 2n4339 and Q2-Q3 are 2n7000 ( I`m waiting for some 2n5457 from tayda) .

I`ve used stazon ink for the finish with stipple brushes . Stamps for the lettering , vintage knobs with 2 set screws and a 3mm yellow led  .

Anybody knows where i can find potentiometer that will fit with those military knobs ?

I found another surplus store in my area . A lot of vintage stuff including some hard to find Ic`s .

I bought all their mn3007 for 1$ each (15) 
also bought some ca3280 and ca3080 .

Here s my growing transistors collection . Around 100 different types . 

What can i do with 4 pins transistors . The fourth pin is called " shield " I think . Can I just cut it or I have to solder that pin somewhere ? Examples of transistor : af137 and af138 .

I tried it in my LaVache and it sounds really interesting . Anybody use that kind of clipping ?

            The emitter-base junction of a bipolar NPN transistor behaves as a zener diode, with breakdown voltage at about 6.8 V for common bipolar processes and about 10 V for lightly doped base regions in BiCMOS processes. Older processes with poor control of doping characteristics had the variation of Zener voltage up to +-1 V, newer processes using ion implantation can achieve no more than +-0.25 V. The NPN transistor structure can be employed as a surface zener diode, with collector and emitter connected together as its cathode and base region as anode. In this approach the base doping profile usually narrows towards the surface, creating a region with intensified electric field where the avalanche breakdown occurs. The hot carriers produced by acceleration in the intense field sometime shoot into the oxide layer above the junction and become trapped there. The accumulation of trapped charges can then cause Zener walkout, a corresponding change of the Zener voltage of the junction. The same effect can be achieved by radiation damage.


              The emitter-base zener diodes can handle only smaller currents as the energy is dissipated in the base depletion region which is very small. Higher amount of dissipated energy (higher current for longer time, or a short very high current spike) will cause thermal damage to the junction and/or its contacts. Partial damage of the junction can shift its Zener voltage. Total destruction of the Zener junction by overheating it and causing migration of metallization across the junction ("spiking") can be used intentionally as a Zener zap antifuse .

Hi everybody !
I have some question about rangemater caps.

1 - I think 5n cap is too trebbly for me. Can i swap it with a 10 n without loosing too much the character of the pedal .

2 - i hve a 22n for the mid boost and i think it s too bassy . 

What you think if i put 1o n and a 6.8n for the mid boost ?
