Hi!

Long time without saying anything. No time to make pedals. But I have some projects to continue...

I put the clipping section between C3 (1uF elec.) and Volume pot.

Tech Help - Projects Page / Smoothie Phase 45 vibe mod
December 10, 2013, 12:55:26 PM
Hi,

now I build a Smoothie with vibe switch.

Some users add a switch to select C5 between 10nF or 100nF. But other mod. is add a switch to select the original configuration of C2 and C3 or using a 10nF and 100nF. What's de difference?

Tx!

Build Reports / Fuzz Face - Hipster - 1590A
December 10, 2013, 03:16:58 AM
Hi! Another build. Is a Hipster Fuzz Face.

I need to test differents transistors to find the best sound.

Only one mod: a switch to select between 2u2 or 47n input (C1) cap.

I use 10pF for C2.

The box was originally for a Zombie Chorus.

All inside!

The result!

More of the result!

I made only one etch project and and was satisfactory. Now i plan to make a reverse etching and as you say I think the paper influences. Provably the finish of enclosure influences too. Surely a fine finish is not the best for transfer the toner to enclosure.

Build Reports / Phase 45 - 1590A enclosure
December 09, 2013, 10:40:36 AM
Is a Phase 45 into a 1590A enclousre.

I use the Soldersound design for the PCB.

After drilling the 1590A enclosure all is correct!

After painting... a decal test.

The PCB with soldered components.

Not a great job but... it works!

Starting the tetris!

Filtering cap. and diode protection.

All inside.

And the result!

Below.

With an orange...

I need to solve some noise problems (outside the box did not) but it works!

When I want to fix it I had an excessive thickness of paint with a different tone. I haven't pics, when I saw the result I removed that abort...

Another options is stripping all and start again at zero point.

Build Reports / Zombie Chorus - enclosure voting
December 09, 2013, 09:17:02 AM
Hi,

Im doing a Zombie Chorus into a 1590A enclosure.

At the last step (put all into the enclosure) an accident was ocurred. Ontly 10cm, but the crash test was not satisfactory :'(

I tried to fix it but it was worse. The painting continues cracked.

I open a voting thread...

a) Try to fix it again.
b) Nothing.
c) Scratch and crack elsewhere like an old/vintage pedal.

Thanks!
