How Do I? Beginner's Paradise. / Re: Diode casing cracked

Usually I do this with small fragile glass housing diodes. I use a little screwdriver as guide, and wind the leads on it.

They take more space, but I'm no longer a diode destroyer!

I'll have to give that a try, that does seem like a good option!

For some reason I've always been concerned with having a exposed leads, which is why I've steered clear of vertical resistors (orthogonal to the pcb?). But if a small amount of exposed lead doesn't matter, I may try and vertically/orthogonally orient some diodes, since it might be easy to clamp part of the lead while bending the remainder.

testing testing testing...
:)

Ha! funny you should mention this. I think I broke about 3 Ge diodes in 10 minutes yesterday just trying to put them into PCBS. Never had such bad luck...

This is awesome!!!
I rarely have to probe my pedals, but when I need to I always struggle and often just abandon the populated PCB.  This would be a great tool to help me resurrect alot of PCBs in my box-of-failures!!!

best regards

I just recently started playing Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness.

I needed to find a way to relax in another world.  So far I like the vast amount of crafting possibilities, nice mountains, and the battle system is surprising given that it was a PS3 game...

I am finally playing through Bloodborne.  I am loving it, and FINALLY am able to parry. Having gone through the first 2 dark souls behind a shield, it is refreshing. When I get around to Dark Souls 3, we will see if I can not use my shield as much.

Not to mention all of the cosmic horror makes me want to dive deep into some other Lovecraftian games.

I think the whole trick weapon or left-hand and right-hand arsenal really speaks to me. I'm always into the idea of that second stompswitch to change the character of the pedal...

I digress...
