Open Discussion / Re: (the impact of) dermatitis and eczema
« on: April 11, 2019, 06:37:22 AM »
Ciclosporin was very effective and completely cleared when I was prescribed it for my severe eczema which like you I have had since childhood. It's only short term though and the downside is you have to be regularly monitored. Blood tests, urine samples. BP checks starting off at two week intervals then increasing to monthly. I was taken off it after a year and now am being prescribed azathioprine. This too has been very effective and is less harmful to the kidneys. I am taking the lowest dose for my weight possible and my eczema is completely under control. Its not completely cured but I don't itch and scratch until bleeding anymore. I still occasional use betnovate if a small patch of eczema flares and I also moisturise regularly.

I agree. Measure every component before you install and solder it in place.

General Questions / Library files for SMD JFET MOSFET
« on: August 30, 2018, 10:41:32 AM »
Hi
looking for JFET and MOSFET SMD librarys in eagle. Looking to build an Openhaus PCB but all SMD. Anyone have any libraries or know where I can find them. Finding them on google is confusing.

Cheers

How Do I? Beginner's Paradise. / Re: Reduce Bazz Fuss noise
« on: July 31, 2017, 01:09:08 PM »
If the circuit is on a breadboard, wires everywhere and you are testing it, yes there will be noise interference humming buzzing etc but effect works fine.
As soon as you have made your effect soldered put in a metal enclosure and completed. Noise will be gone.
Breadboard builds always have interference noise.

Try B100k for Tone pot. Pot 1 and IN to C1. Pot to to C2. Leave Pot 3 unconnected

Please stop this now and post on a medical forum. This forum is about guitar pedals.

Was looking for a strat with a floyd when I found this thing on eBay.  It's a squier that the dude had dropped a floyd in.  By co-incidence, it turned out he was in my parent's town (interstate).  I gave them the money, they picked it up for me, and I finally got it in my hands yesterday.

No idea what the pickups are in it (I should measure the resistance at some stage), but I don't think the HB is stock as it's a different colour to the singles, slightly.  I was thinking about putting a reverse maple fretboard neck on it, but I'm digging the look so far.  A change of strings to 9-46 and a quick action adjustment and I'm pretty happy.  Might shim the neck slightly to get the action a mite lower.  Hate the volume knob placement though, as the pot spins too easy when I knock it.  I'll probably drop a tonezone or super distortion in (although I have some ibanez and peavey HBs around that measure around 15k) as I like hot pickups.  It has a cool set of strap locks on it - they screw into a base unit and the strap can still rotate.

Overall, not a bad buy.  Not too badly ripped off.  Seems like a solid guitar.
The strats with the larger 70's style head look better.
Thats a good one.
