General Questions / Re: What's up with Mammoth?
September 06, 2013, 04:01:20 PM
I just got a shipping notice as well, no response to my email or anything though. The knobs that were supposedly backordered still show they are in stock and the status did not change, even after they acknowledged I brought it up in my email. I have ordered many times from them in the past and it is never a smooth transaction.

I've had a similar issue recently. Ordered some knobs and they ended up being backordered even though they listed 250+ in stock. I was never informed of the backorder but found it when I logged on to my account so I emailed and was told they'd be shipped the next morning. That was last  Friday. Since the status of my order hasn't changed. I've sent another email but have yet to hear back. Should have known.

The empty socket is where the MV59 was. I decided not to use it and so I took it out to see if it would still work. I'd like to get a demo together once I get it a bit prettier and I have some time.

Molten Voltage are definitely on their game. Super simple to incorporate and bypasses all of the trouble associated with the Time section, such as clock noise. Only problem is at times I can hear (very quiet) ticking with the tempo.

Yeah, I was going to say the same.

Just posted something along these lines in the build reports. http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?topic=9056.0

For incorporating into an existing Aquaboy, I would just follow the instructions in the MV64 documentation which I believe is replacing the time/mod section with the Delaytion circuit, feeding into Pin 7 of the 3101.

Pretty stoked about this build. It's basically an Aquaboy Deluxe but with the time/modulation section replaced with the Molten Voltage Delaytion.

I went with the v3205 because it was what I knew, but looking back I probably would have gone with BL3208s. It is a bit tough too fit on a board though, so I may possibly do a daughter board to fit 4 on there in the future. I made a couple silly mistakes, like using a rotary switch for the sub-division, which ended up being too big with the board mounted pots. I supposed I could use long pin, but whatever. Also, i removed the MV59 section with the programability because it was too much work to fit in the enclosure given the spacing I had set for board mounted pots.

It works like a dream though, and was probably one of the easier delay builds I have done. I am experiencing some noise issues as to be expected with v3205s however I suspect my 1spot putting out closer to 18v may have something to do with it.

Not the tidiest build but I'm planning on revising the board so I figure bugger it.

I also have 9 additional boards if anyones interested? $7 shipped CONUS.

Thanks, what is the reason for the VA and VD in the Darkside? Aren't VB and VD the same voltage?

According to Cornish the input buffer provides "superior RFI rejecting capability (to eliminate Radio Station interference) and Low Impedance Audio output, allowing the use of extended cable runs from the SS-2™ in bypass mode".

Tech Help - Projects Page / Incorporating Cornish Buffer
February 19, 2013, 09:06:06 AM
I am trying to add the Cornish Buffer from the Madbean G-2 into a schematic found on FSB for the Light Drive which is essentially the SS-2 without the input buffer, from what I understand.

I've attached the schematics in question and my attempt at it. Could anyone help me understand if I'm doing this right if not how I ought to?

I have a madbean project doc for the P2 if it's alright to post?

General Questions / Re: Baxandall Tone Stack

Gotcha, the components involved meaning the C12, C13, R16, R17 and R18?

Are those components an EQ section themself?

The Glitterrattii already has the bass and treble. You could try incorporating this mid control into the baxandall stack.

That makes sense, is that the same thing that is happening on the Kingslayer?

And if so is the gain set at approximately 8 or 392k/47k?

My best guess is that it's boosting the signal before the eq section? Would that be correct?
