A lil' stripboard-build of a DOD 250 Overdrive Preamp using a layout from Mirosol @ tagboardeffects.

Also a really cool Tim Escobedo design, PCB made by Moonn Electronics (once upon a time, discontinued it seems!). Whacky, synthy stuff with a low parts count, the PWM + LFO.

It's been a while, but here's some new vids!

A stripboard-build from tagboardeffects by Mirosol; The Carl Martin Heavy Drive!

And another Mirosol stripboard-layout from tagboardeffects comin' up: The Effdub Flapjack OD.

A PCB all the way from Germany; A clone of the Devi Ever Ruby, by Moonn Electronics.

Another Moonn Electronics PCB based on a Tim Escobedo design. The Lofo Brofo is a pretty simple-and-effective lofi effect.

And the most recent video, yet also incredibly late at the same time; The discontinued Madbean Cherrybomb (2015). Maybe some of y'all still have a board lying around: This is what it sounds like! For those that don't, it's based on the Coloursound Overdriver, so maybe you can gleam something about that circuit from this.

Think I may have overdone it with the detail on this one, with the video clocking in at over 11 minutes, but regardless; A demo of the Madbean Current Lover flanger! (with a new intro, for all you... intro-heads)

Oh, and on the other side of the detail-spectrum, this incredibly dumb (yet accurate) demo of the Musikding Der Splitter I uploaded back in april.

Got a board from Italy, it's-a-spicy-OCD!
...Okay, I'm embarassing myself, here's the video.

Aaaaaand this is outdated. For the tiny audience that is 'people who still have a 2015 board lying around & wonder what it'll sound like'  :o. Nonetheless, makin' my way through these builds!

Okay, fixed. The https conversion broke the old plugin so I've installed a new one. The one caveat is you need to specify a width to keep it reasonably sized. I'll do a post that shows exactly how to use the new plugin.
Great! I saw the embedded videos were frame-filling an hour ago or so, but seems like you've fixed that as well; They're showing up regular size for me again, without any modifications to the posts on my end. (...Alright, just noticed you manually edited my past posts, thanks for that!  :D)

All the embedded youtubes have disappeared across the whole forum for me too.  Maybe it's only happening on some devices, I'm on a crappy old iPad, so who knows.

My adblocker is stopping them, too, for some reason.
Well this got more complicated than I figured. I'm on Chrome on PC myself, using uBlock Origin. I disabled it for this site (and have rebooted since), but that didn't seem to help any either so far.

Perhaps it's still working for y'all, but the embedded videos from youtube aren't working for me anymore, forum-wide it seems... Added a channel-link to the top post just to be sure!
As confirmed below, I guess it's just something goofy on my end ???. Cheers!

Either way, a new demo of the Madbean NomNom!

General Questions / Lowrider 2015 question
December 28, 2019, 03:30:22 PM
I built the lowrider a while ago, and I have to say it sounds wonderful and has been on my board ever since. I finally got around to shooting a video-demo for it, but in figuring out how to demo this pedal, I realized that I had no clue what side of the A/B switch actually applies the active filter to the octave-up signal. I definitely hear a difference between the 2 settings, but both sides sound usable and the documentation doesn't specify. I tried to analyze the schematics to figure it out, but my circuit-knowledge ain't quite up to snuff yet, so I figured I'd come ask here rather than end up guessing!

Thanks!

It's been a while since my last upload, so I figured I'd make it a two-fer! The Madbean Rabbit Hole (Violet Ram's Head version) & Madbean Egghead.

A non-Madbean pedal  :o. The Godcity Instruments Brutalist Jr.! I'm hardly a metal-guy, hence the Fender Hot Rod, but even that amp gets pretty chunky with this pedal.
