If you're not going to say which board you bought and the specific troubles you're having I'm not sure there's anything people can do for you. If there is a specific circuit you want to build and want suggestions then let us know and you'll likely get some good recommendations from the people here.

Revisions of build docs, and differences between the docs and what's on the board are not uncommon, and many times it's just understanding which is most updated - again, something that someone here might (probably) know. Most of these makers tend to be one-man operations (as well as it being a passion) so it's good to give them the benefit of the doubt and just politely ask your questions and state your issues. They won't take it personally unless you're being a jerk, so just avoid that and you should be all good, dude.

A cousin of mine is sending me one of these (one of these days...) that he says works intermittently and I'm eager to get in there and see what's what and get it going again. I'm guessing it's something to do with the curtain/box around the bulb. Do you know the voltage coming out of the transformer?

Actually, I have no real problem other than the sweep range without the shield, but the curtain is absolutely needed because it is what blocks the light. (not meaning that to be patronizing).

I have a good copy of the schematic, I would be happy to send it to you, it has the important voltages in it. Off the top of my head its 55v and 25v coming off the power section.

Ah, no worries, man. I wasn't attempting to give you advice, I was just speculating as to what might be wrong with the pedal I'm supposed to be getting (not yours). It seems like you were able to get yours fully functional, well done.

I think that I've got another yellow enclosure I can use. If you decide to take on the effort of doing all of the organizing again I can certainly build up a fuzz or distortion for donation.

I also appreciate longer write-ups. I try to do the same, though mine usually use mumbo-jumbo words to describe the sound and how things work. I kind of feel like that's part of the fun of building, is trying to describe what things sound like to other people. It's a good use of trying to meld left-brain/right-brain thinking. At least it is for my tiny brain
