Hey guys, been a while since I've been here, but I'm glad to see the forum is as awesome as ever! I have been really interested in the Epic Looper from TH Customs/JMK but today I saw that BYOC has their own 8 channel looper! Does anyone have any experience with either one? Building/sourcing parts/operation/cost, I would love to hear some feedback from someone wiser than myself (not hard to do 😄)

Open Discussion / Re: EH B9 Organ Machine... thoughts?

After scouring YouTube, I think my GAS has naturally evolved from wanting a B9, to NEEDING a HOG2 with all corresponding pedals ;D. Whether or not this is going to be a reality is yet to be seen. Also, has anybody tried  www.pedalgenie.com ? It appears to be like Netflix for pedals. This also had my GAS flaring up something fierce!

Open Discussion / EH B9 Organ Machine... thoughts?

When I saw the demo video for its pedal my mind was blown. It later occurred to me that I probably wouldn't have many practical uses for such a beast, but I can't shake that feeling that I need one! Just wondered if anyone had any actual experience with it.

That is awesome! The graphics are great and the envirotex is a really nice touch. There are a couple people I know that are mildly interested in building, but most people are far too intimidated to try and feel like it's "over their head". Good job helping others get started!

No matter how many overdrive pedals I build, I keep coming back to my Visual Sound red version 1 Jekyll and Hyde. It's just a really usable, versatile pedal.

I also just bought a ditto looper that I think is going to be an invaluable tool for both practice and testing/tweaking diy circuits.

I still use my Line6 echo park, but I'm pretty sure it could easily be replaced with something diy with taptation since I really don't use delay that often.

:o  That is the coolest mini pedal I've ever seen.
this could be said for any one of Dave's builds  :)

Open Discussion / New material suggestions
April 22, 2014, 04:06:51 AM
Okay, so I have been obsessed with all things guitar since I was six years old. That being said I am not very creative and sometimes have a short attention span. This leads to very short practice sessions for me. I need some new material! Anybody know of some good/free resources for learning new songs and techniques? I just want to sound like Brian Setzer, SRV and Mark Knopfler. That isn't that hard right?

Awesome work again Dave! I hadn't heard anything about the EP booster but it must be good if it's worthy of a pickdropper build!

Really nice work! I can't help but be impressed with anything SMD, and a transformer in a 1590a, crazy! Is the artwork laser etched?

This turned out really nice! The lettering looks awesome with that powder coat finish. I would say the best part about the build is not only you have a granny that can play music but knows what a Klon is at that. A lot of guitarists I know aren't even hip to the Klon hype. I think you win with this one!

That stamping turned out really nice! Did you backfill with paint? I have a set of stamps that I haven't fallen in love with yet. The technique is a lot harder than it seems it should be. +1 for the fat joke!
