Those look awesome! I love a tube screamer, still my favorite overdrive.

I think I've done that when replacing the chip (I tried two different chips). But I'll give it a whirl. Is this to let the caps discharge?

I'm releasing 1 SMD board per week. I have ~100 of these things. All boards are verified. The boards are small, so they are pretty cheap to print at OSHPark ($5-7, including shipping)... https://oshpark.com/profiles/DLW
Nice. Are those the micro ones or the bigger ones. There seems to be 2 sizes.

Chromesphere has one I believe, its an lpb1 boost. Damn small too, it fits onto the bottom of a 9mm pot. Itís an easy build though. Iím still trying to decide what to do with mine.

OK, jumped 3 & 4, no joy...
What happens if you remove the power supply and remove the chip, wait a minute and reverse the process?

Honestly, I think opening schools is asking for trouble. Weíve tried so hard to stay away from people and keep our family safe, mama and all. So the sending our kids to school so that they may or may not carry it home is a bit unnerving.

Hamilton county is tossing the idea around of A. Homeschool B. Staying home and learning until itís safe or C. Send them to school. Parents may have all 3 as an option. Weíre pushing for #2. My ex so far seems to think that Covid is no big deal and that the flu is worse because thatís what her doctor told her. So, anyway, stay safe!

The problem with these guys is they donít k ow how to do anything else. I was talking to a friend, who was a pro bass player with the likes of Billy Ray Cyrus, etc.... and felt fortunate he could do something else. He got out and now only does light gigs and sells pa type equipment for a company in Boca. He has spoken to other musician in his league who echoed the same sentiment, they canít really do anything else.

If a bit of negativity gets introduced, it turns into bashing one group or another. Pretty soon itís like the purge and thatís what weíre looking to avoid.  Now Iím going to go strap PCBs to my face.

Just be careful Jimi, I know youíll be tempted to use phasers, but compressors will probably have a better seal and be more effect. I donít want to see you turn out like that guy who stuck a bunch of Rats to his face.
Ooohhh good point.

Update in the bean household: my wife has been sent back to WFH for the next two weeks at minimum. They gave the option to employees to do this or stay in the office. Not sure what this means for the company's future. Also, some counties in Tenn. have decided to start the school year as online but they haven't made a decision in Sumner county yet.

So, everyone is back at home again for now. In unrelated news, I am available for adoption to a good home. Require minimal feeding and watering and only occasional bathroom breaks.
We work from home, so weíre here all the time. Daughters room is free all week and every other weekend. Desk with soldering iron is already in there, and, Iím only an hour away!

I donít know about the modulation but, the PT2399 is bad about locking up in that circuit no matter who designs it. Iíve had 3 different ones. The result is one echo. Put jumper across pins 3 and 4 of the 2399.

I feel like getting sick and possibly a slow painful death would be worse than anything, but thatís just me. As a nation, the leaders are hoping it just goes away and expects everyone to be onboard. Thatís just how I see it though.
