I picked up a used $150 LTD St-203 (Strat) because the pickups sounded really great and the neck was equally nice.  Problem is, I already own a Strat with Sunday Handwound pickups that sounds great (but different).
For versatility, I'm thinking about replacing the bridge with a humbucker.  The neck and middle measure right at 6.0k resistance.
I've watched video after video on YouTube.
Here is what I think I want....
1. A pickup that will compliment the neck and middle eq wise (not sound out of place).  From my research, all I've been able to determine is that the stock pickups are Alnico - I suspect Alnico ii based on the sound.  Again they are around 6.0k
2. 4 conductor wire so I can wire position 2 with a single coil of the humbucker and get the traditional strat quack.
3.  Low out put humbucker (ill wire the bridge position to be a full humbucker - not coil split.) By low output I just mean that volume wise, I don't want a big jump in output when going from neck to bridge.
4. Being a budget guitar, I don't care to drop a lot of money on a pickup.  I'd love to pick one up for between 50-75 but that's not hard and fast.  If there is something that costs more but well worth the investment I'd entertain it.

I respect the collective opinion of Madbean forum.

Jon is an excellent teacher.  It's one thing to know, an entirely different thing to teach!

Always good to have a schematic to go with that veroboard layout. It's good for double checking connections, values and whatnot.
100% this.  Veto increases the likelihood of a solder bridge, or placing a component in the wrong hole...even when being super careful.  A good testing rig, audio probe and schematic can save you tremendous headache.  You don't have to understand everything about the schematic to troubleshoot.
Vero is great and I use it for quick builds of circuits or for modifying existing pedals I'll layout my own.  I think it is a useful skill to have.

General Questions / 3pdt w LED ring

I've had to replace (3) 3pdts over the past year for a friend that I have built multiple pedals for.  They were cheaper switches.  I've determined to spend a little extra in hopes that I don't have to keep replacing switches...it's a nuasance.  I've not had to replace any that I've purchased from smallbear.  In fact, I'm considering a relay bypass with momentary switch!
I'd be concerned about the long term reliability of $2 switches

I had issues with charge pumps from Tayda

I would make the isolation a bit more and also make sure there is more space between traces and pads to reduce the possibility of connecting things that are supposed to be connected:)
Also, at least one trace touches a pad:

I bought a small pack off Amazon and had to throw it away because of the quality of the final print/application.  Now I'm wondering if this had something to do with it.  I've used other paper with great results or otherwise would suspect my procedure;)

Cool, thanks Josh.  I'll give it a try.  I have a guy that wants a Multiplex and will order a couple to try out when i place that order

That's a great article!  Does that design still suffer from the X00ms signal drop?  Anyone know?  Or is the signal drop inherent in a relay bypass?

Anyone have a project out there that allows use of a momentary switch that doesn't drop audio?  My brief searches turn up complaints about signal loss when depressed.
