Good job. The ink art is amazing looking!

Requests / Re: Digitech EX-7 Rehouse

It would probably be good to see what's going on inside. I have a feeling that there is either a really large PCB or several PCBs under there that would be a pain to rehouse, not to mention that it is probably engaged by a soft switch in the expression pedal that would either have to be removed or incorporated into your new enclosure.

Most likely, Digitech probably has the most efficient and economical design for this pedal already.

That's pretty awesome. It's not a color that I would naturally pick for an organ, but it kind of grows on me. Our 90-something-year-old church organist decided to retire at the end of last year, so the Hammond and Leslie speaker just sit there unused now. That Leslie speaker is just taunting me being unused, but I have no space or time for it. Word is, the organist had a Hammond M3 in his house too.

Looks sweet, and great thematic concept for a compressor! Those guild navigators seem to fit right in Lynch's wheelhouse.

Good to see you stick with it and figure it out! The sounds coming out of this thing do not disappoint.  What a marvelous etch as well.

Open Discussion / Re: Invader Distortion noise gate

Without seeing the guts of the pedal, it's hard to say, but I would think that the simplest solution is to have a parallel line after the input stage, boost that signal a fair amount, and have that signal act as the gate control of a JFET. The drain and source legs bridge the gap between the distortion circuit and the output.

Or maybe it's like having an EA tremolo circuit run by an envelope controller instead of a LFO.

If I was designing something with that feature, that's how I would start.

Great insight. Thanks for letting us take a peek at your thought process. Your commentary and explanation of effects whether recording or in your build docs always have a plethora of useful knowledge!

Edit: I know exactly how that happened. The grounds weren't connecting to the ground plane, so I went back in the schematic and fixed that, but didn't notice the air wire. Should work just fine.

Jimi, when I make my schematics in Eagle, I like to use the GND part in Madbean's library (I think it's in the "supply pins" folder) instead of connecting all the components together with wires. It will make for a cleaner schematic (especially with some of the more complicated circuits), and the ground is all networked together on the board, just create a ground plane! That works for me anyhow...so many ways to skin a cat.

That looks super sharp! Great enclosure design.

Impressive as always, sir.

That's phenomenal! Love it, man. I might try that with something I built.

Oh man, I better stop building guitars and get back to pedals.

What a great concept and execution! I bet that thing rips too.

Great work, Jimi! I dig the graphic for the White Light, and you can't go wrong with a Trans-Am. That Old School look is killing it!
