General Questions / Chorus pedals
December 27, 2013, 02:43:52 PM
Hey Guys,
I recently received some MN3007 chips from the Bay. I am planing on doing a few chorus pedal builds. I was looking at the "Zombie" (tagboard),  the "Little Angel" (tagboard) and of course the "Pork Barrel"(madbeans). I'm sure all of you have experience in one or the other. Any Suggestions? I was thinking about doing the "Current Lover" but that's a huge build...Thoughts?

Yeah the pads were ripped out. This thing is a mess. I'll do my best with it but I told my buddy, "it might be a dead pedal". Either way thanks for all the help guys! Any one know where I can get the schematic???

ripped out cap and missing pot? more slaughtered than broken I'd say. wtf happened??
I would have to agree with you on that! I guess my friend brought it to someone he knew that did some electronic work. The dude is a hack! After looking at it i might just harvest the ICs out of it and call it a day. Here are the pictures of the carnage!

Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone had a couple things. First I need a schematic for the MXR Carbon Copy. My old guitarist gave me his broken one to mess around with and fix. There are a few issues with it. C46 is gone, ripped out, and i need to find what the value is and what it connects to. One of the pots is gone too. The pads are ripped out. So value and connection are needed for that as well. I'll post a couple of pictures when i get home. Thanks in advance guys.

Hey Everyone,
A while a go i salvaged some parts from a home theater receiver and these looked interesting. I was just wondering if anyone here might know what they are. The LED is there for size reference. Thanks in advance.

P.S. They came out of diode slots if that helps.

Hey Guys,
After looking around on this forum I found a TON of good information. It actually helped me debug a Cave Dweller and a Cupcake. You guys were a huge help and i didn't even have to ask any questions. So, Thanks to: madbean, midwayfair, haberdasher, oldhousescott, gtr2, and jkokura. Thanks guys!!!

What ever happened with this? I just finished one (Cave Dweller) and I'm getting the same issue. I thought it was a crappy capacitor I had salvaged from another build but That wasn't it. I also tried changing these and it didn't help
-R1 changed to 15K (filter noise)
-R2 changed to 20K (filter Noise)
-C2 changed to 10nf (compensate for R1 & R2 change)
- I also replaced all the Resistors (originally used 1/4 watt) with 1/8 watt.
My next idea is to, I guess, try a different PT2399 chip. Stupidly I didn't socket it but lesson learned. Just wondering what your outcome was. Thanks in advance.
