Looks really tight in there! good job.

I have built one on vero to get a friend of mine to hopefully play his bass more often. It is noisy as hell, but I love the fuzziness it offers.

I remember in veroboard and madbean pcb (etched) were extremely noisy, this is not. It is very quiet.

you have to search as woolly mammoth Guero. if you do not find it, I can send you

***there are 2 potentiometers that are inverted, only "bad thing"

Thanks for yours feedbacks :)

built for a friend, he was looking for a simple thing

I realized, I had a woolly not used it in a while. I think this was one of the first pedals I built (that's why solders are so ugly  :-[ ).

what I did was take the pcb that was "out there" and I I built this pedal.

works perfect

that good ideas!  I really liked it!

I have a question, I really do not know how you've added the LED clipping.

how you did it?

But it still works, right?

obviously! works perfect! Sounds delicious :)

zero noise, and works perfectly. has many years already. Today I got the pedal to change only the led.

I did this build report to show my first job. almost never see this ( first job ) and less even after many years.

Build Reports / my old first pedal: "xotic RC"

This was my first pedal, with decal and paint.
I made some time ago for a friend.

here are some pictures:

as you can see the pedal is worn out over time. has some years.

I'm not proud of the wiring, but for my first pedal I think not bad

****sorry for the bad quality of the photos

Please excuse me for not responding on time,

the truth is that I was very sick a few days, now I'm recovered and I can do everything on the wah.

I'll see one by one their advice and answer as quickly as possible.

thank you very much everyone

Pot and coil via joe gagen.  Great stuff. I think there's a few things that control sweep range, but likely IMO is matching the cap to the coil. Try a few values from about 1 if to 10.

I did not know that brand of pots and inductors, every day you learn something new :)

What do you mean with IMO? which is the capacitor that you are talking about? C4?

thank you very much

One word: excellent!

If I understand correctly, you want more sweep along the travel of the treadle?

Assuming you set the pot to engage with the travel already.

As for noise, you have some long lengths of bare wires that probably aren't helping.  Could be a cold joint on a ground somewhere, or a short.   What inductor is that?

I just built one, and I actually have the opposite issue, I don't have enough travel on the treadle to take advantage of all the sweep.

Thanks for answering!

yes, I meant just that: more sweeping.

how I can achieve more? will be by the potentiometer?

About the noise, I think you're right it can be a major factor. I have it like that (with bare wires) because I'm testing it, but I'll upgrade that point.

The inductor is a yellow Fasel.

what  potentiometer did you use?  What inductor did you use?

I built the wah as it is in the layout, with the exception of:

C7 (3.3 uf + 1uf ) and C2 (15n to 10n). I have not found 15n

The two problems are:

Problem 1:
in the first third of the pedal produces little "wah". in these third, I move my foot and does not modulate acute.  as if I did not move my foot  :o :o :o

when the Wah pedal in the first third of the trail is very "bass" and not really feel that change the sound. after that third, the pedal modulates and does everything well.

*the pedal has a 100k-ICAR potentiometer.
** I regulate it ( potentiometer) to work on the most acute part.

Does the problem is by the kind of potentiometer?

***this is the first third, I mean this:
from this

------>>> to this

Problem 2:

when the wah is on the last third of most acutely, like this:

I have a noise (more than normal on Cry baby, or any similar pedal) ( is ONLY when the pedal is in this position )

what can I do to reduce it?

thanks

hi, how are you?

I have an idea but I really do not know how to carry it out well.

I want to add a variable Q potentiometer to Weener Wah II.

search and found this link: http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=99736.0;prev_next=prev

* 1k resistor is Q pot

in the specific case of wenner wah, how did you do?

*weener wah II schematic:

another question,

how the fasel is put? there is any difference, if I put the fasel the other way?

which is the correct way? 1 or 2?

*is my first time putting an inductor  :P

thanks

It's hard to tell, but do you have 2 lugs grounded to 2 separate grounds on the pcb?

Let me see if I understand.

the connection I made was that of friendly Mr.Paul and your website:  diyguitarpedals.com.au,
photo:

I put all the ground's in the slave is the only difference with the photo

I made that connexion to test the effect without the 3pdt

thanks for helping

I checked the pedal and I have no solder bridge or anything like that.

I really did not know what to do
