Man that is a really slick looking pedal! I have never envirotex'd any of my etches. I have to give that a try.
Are you using actual Envirotex or another product similar to it?

... I did one build without countersinking the bezel and it looked pretty cool with a raised envirotex dome over the bezel.

Couldn't that create heat issues with the LED? Just wondering...

It's important that it's not soluble, so the Fe2Cl3 won't wash it off.

Yes, that's why I asked. Use the wrong stuff and you suddenly have etchant all over the place!

Man, in addition to the overall greatness of the build, I am really digging the DEPTH of your etches! 
To get that depth, you must be etching that thing for an hour and a half!
Interesting idea with the putty dike. I might give that a try. (Its tough getting Ferric Chloride spills out of a white bath tub!)

As has already been said, one of the better enclosure etches I have ever seen...
A couple of questions, if i may:
1. What graphics program did you use for layout the enclosure art?
2. How did you get the text to wrap around the scale graphs for each control knob so perfectly?  I have wanted to do that for a while but several attempts to get it to wrap like that looked terrible.
