Nice! I like the addition of the Battery lid. It's stupid to have to unscrew the 'lid' everytime, but that's sort of how it has to be done unless you do like you did.

I was looking at that stuff, and the price per foot seemed high to me, but is that what I should be expecting to pay?

When you say noise repeats, do you mean that it's not repeating your guitar signal, or that it's noiser than you expected it to be?

This delay's repeats are a little noisy by nature...

Maybe some audio clips would help us out some.

I'm pretty sure he also uses some kind of octave-down on his vocals, at least in certain parts. It sounds awesome.

Agreed - I noticed that. It's so subtle, which makes it very musical.

Hey guys and galls.

So I want to get some Ribbon Wire, and I'm wondering about where you get yours. I've learned a little bit about what I want, and what I don't want. Essentially, I want 24 awg, at 2.54mm pitch (.1" pitch). Colour doesn't matter, but I would like to be able to get strips of 4 and 6 out of it, so it's got to be at least 6 pieces wide, and 12/24 is a perfect number.

Help me out? Ebay is turning out to have nothing but 1.2mm pitch stuff, or stuff that's already made into IDC cables.

No kidding.

Somebody posted this at BYOC a few months back. Everybody I show it to just flips out. The guy really pisses me off.

Cause he's so freaking good right?

I was impressed with him, then he started singing - doing all that complicated stuff AND singing, now that's blowing my mind.

One does not simply replace a pot with a Digipot...

But yes, that's where I'd start looking.

Careful planning is doing a lot of research and understanding all the factors involved. BBD chips are not super easy to work with, and you'd be dealin with a separate time clock, multiple chips... The PT2399 does it all in one package, which makes integration with the Taptation pretty easy.

In particular, there would need to be some careful planning for using the the Taptation for use that way. But the guy who designed it (TTG) has said it can pretty much be used for anything you'd like to use tap tempo control for.

Check out the Datasheets, and start to breadboard circuits.

I built the Little Angel, and I've been trying to improve it. It's alright, but only in a minimal sort of way.

I'd much rather build an MN3007 chorus myself.

Can you make your own transistor CJ?

Do a true DIY Fuzz Face CJ, I dare you...

I intend to do some kind of simple fuzz with some home-rolled caps. The resistors are just too hard to do. Well, they aren't hard, but to get even 1K of resistance, they would be massive (like too big for an enclosure).

Besides, everybody knows all the mojo is in the caps. So I'll focus on that.

Who cares how big the enclosure is... in fact, I expect that to be DIY too! I'm anticipating you creating a steel forge in your back yard.

I like the finish! As admirable as it is that you got a klone into a 1590a, I think that understated finish is fanfreakingtastic.

The best option is to find the correct datasheet. If you google "AC128 Datasheet" this comes up: http://www.alldatasheet.com/view.jsp?Searchword=AC128

Also, you get an images result as well: http://www.google.ca/search?q=AC128+Datasheet&hl=en&client=safari&rls=en&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=O1xPUNPSAcfLqgHgsYHAAw&ved=0CDIQsAQ&biw=1422&bih=764

Perhaps either one of those links helps you out?

If not, generally you can't hurt a transistor if you have it oriented incorrectly. You can blow one if you feed it too much voltage, but wrong orientation is usually not an issue. So in theory, you could just start trying various orientations.

You could install extra voltage regulation, but chances high that you don't need to do anything extra beyond typical reverse voltage diode protection. Usually the voltages we use on pedal boards will not blow anything in our pedals.
