I think I ordered mine with the first run. Is there anything pcb/fix wise I should be looking for or is this more likely something like a short/bad joint somewhere? My voltages are on the money everywhere else except where I mentioned (pt 5v section)

On the solder side photo it was taken when I had removed a few caps for troubleshooting. the Top side photo has it installed.

And on this side, I am aware there's some components missing. I took this when troubleshooting caps (:

I have the black pcb. As a side note (and I have never had this issue before with MB boards) I noticed when soldering this up I continuously had issues with the solder fizzing and popping, no matter what the temperature setting. I've used the same kester on different boards with no issues; I just couldnt get the stuff to tack right! Maybe because it was sitting for a long time?? I dont know.....

Hey Guys,

Been a bit since my last post.... but reaching out for some assistance. I've had the zpsdx 2 board in my drawer for a while, and recently made myself order the needed pots. After building up, all voltages on all IC's are ok except on the pt's. I am getting 5v at the out of the regulator, however at c58 I am not reading 5v, usually only half a volt.  I've checked all the components on that trace and can't find anything obvious, and gone over the entire board a few times to check for cold joints, orientation etc. my issue appears to be  in this general area, but I am stuck. for testing, I have s1 and 2 jumpered. Any thoughts? (edit: picture to come, I have to scale down the photo quality)

It's been a while since I've checked in, and I felt the forum tug (huh?), so I figured I'd check in. As soon as I finished my Mfos soundlab mkII synth project (around a year ago?), I more or less became addicted to synth and have since been GAS'ing super hard with eurorack gear. There's plenty of DIY projects out there from companies like Bastl, hexinverter, musicthing and 4ms, so I've been busy. Pedalwise it's just been a few here and there. I've even learned how to compile firmware and flash to mutable modules (stm32 based) in preparation for an elements build (super pumped).Anyways, here's a shot of the setup, which for some reason continues getting bigger everytime I take a photo. The wood case on the top right of the eurorack stuff was on old CD rack I found at the thrift store, stripped and refinished and installed rails into. I recently finished it so I'm kinda proud (:

Since my last 2 amp projecs have ended, I've fallen into a "big project" depression, and was desperately trying to come up with my next non pedal idea. While at the thrift store I found an old tower speaker with a good quality plywood case. I have an old Casio keyboard that I often run through my effects chain and absolutely love the sounds I can create. So I've decided to take the old speaker enclosure and make kind of a multi/modular panel looking thing for it. I've got room for 8-10 effects and I want to utilize all of it. I also just ordered a clear blue cut of acrylic for the front panel and want to make it shine with super brights when turned on. When it comes to powering this thing, will a one spot be enough currentif I am daisy chaining all of the effects inside the box? My current guitar setup which includes probably 10 effects (3 delays and 2 reverbs) does fine with the one spot, and ultimately this is just a big old multi in a weird enclosure, but I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions/tips. The unit will likely consist of a delay, 2 different trems, 3  filter effects, one of Fredericks awesome noise makers, beans auto wah, and a few I havent decided on. Thanks dudes!

I received my first reply from the fellow, he seems definitely interested in getting it resolved. He suggested electronics cleaner etc.... and offered a return if that doesn't work. I told him I have some pedal experience and could try to troubleshoot, however I wouldn't want to affect my ability to return if I cannot return it to working order/ made it worse off. We shall see what he says. Thanks for the feedback (pun intended) fellas.

I mean I already have my aquaboy deluxe and a few spare 3k5 laying around. I was just over the moon about this one because of it's condition. I popped the hood and verified it has 3005. Presently powering with a 9v battery. Have tried with my regulated supply as well. It may just be a trim adjiustment or two, but I'd rather not fail and make it worse. The guy wrote in the post that he purchased it, used once, and boxed it. I suppose I'll try and file a claim...

Hey guys,

I recently won an auction for a  dod Fx90 analog delay on ebay for about 100 with shipping. The seller had advertised it as new, and included the box and all the original materials (even the freaking DOD sticker that came with the pedal, the schem, and owners manual!) Cosmetically, this thing is nearly perfect, and I love that it came with everything. The problem is, it is not functioning properly. The pedal will randomly start oscillating (irrespective of the repeats knob position). It also goes into oscillation a lot earlier than what I've seen in videos. The seller does not accept returns, however I think I may be covered since he advertised it as new and it certainly isn't working properly. The question is this-I'd hate to let such a pristine example go back due a minor concern that may be easily fixed. I've sent him a message to at least let him know what is going on and am waiting for a reply. Should I troubleshoot and work this out, or go through the process to get my money back and try and find a properly working one, which will likely not even come close to how pretty this one is?. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I've never had to deal with a seller on ebay/faulty item in this capacity before.

Ah, is this only new production bbd compatible? I thought this could handle 4x 3008, so I was just wondering if he happened to plop 4x 3005 in for giggles.
