Hey Guys...  This is real cool.

Is it possible to make something remotely similar to this with a DIY build?

I do get sound at the Output jack with an audio probe in bypass and with the effect engaged.  I will prob around some more in the circuit and see what I can find.  I suspect I have somthing miss wired

Any Idea's... anyone familiar with this build?

I just finished up my Darkside build and have no power to the LED.  I am wondering if I miss wired the 9v power jack?  I did try flip flopping the two hot " red " wires on the 9v Jack but that did not help anything This is a little different wiring than I am use to.  I think I followed the instructions properly

A luthier once said to another aspiring luthier (which I overheard) that when business is picking up and you start to become in growing demand you can either expand your business to meet said demand or raise prices and lose some demand. The former brings with it that you spend less time doing what you like to do in the first place and more time doing paperwork as you run a business, and with it several employees. The latter has the advantage that you don't need to expand your business as the higher prices will weed out some of your potential customers, allowing you to concentrate more on what you like to do in the first place.

It would seem that Pete chose the latter approach.

Good advice here..  I think the path Pete took is the better of the two!

[HUGE!]

So I ordered 1N5401's from Mouser here..  This is the exact ones I got.

The problem is..  they are HUGE!

Did I get the right ones>?

Problem is that they will not fit in my etch.  The leads are way to fat to fit in the holes... even if I drill the holes larger it will be larger than the traces that its supposed to thread through.

Shane, you mean a TL074 right? Not a TL072?

I will check into this some more today. I have a few other TLC274 chips on hand. I'll see if I can break it again. At least I'm glad you were able to get it working correctly.

Ok so I robbed a 072 out of a Kingslayer I that I happened to have... Don't know why I didn't think of this earlier !!!

And

Voila it works like a charm!!!  No more noise problems!!

My recommendation would be to just use the 074's to avoid any possible problems.

So I tried this and put the 150R 1/4 watt in place of R28 and still have the same noise!!

Any ideas?
