A clone of the Dan Armstrong Orange Squeezer compressor with an added blend knob.  I opted for the pre-painted enclosure since the design is pretty sweet. I like the knobs they provided with it - reminds me of a juice container.

I made 2 slight errors with the build. First, I didn't realize that the switch was an integral part of the circuit. So, unlike a lot of other things I've worked on, I couldn't hook it up to my test rig until the switch was attached. Once, I did that, it tested fine.  Then, I managed to mix up the ring and tip when soldering in the input jack.  But, knowing it tested fine, it was easy to diagnose that last issue.

I really like this pedal a lot. It adds a nice boost and sparkle to my clean signal and the blend allows it be a little bit subtle.  I'm not sure yet if this will bump my Wampler Ego compressor off my main board, but I'm definitely going to make regular use of it.

That's a good call. I've also heard of people using hot glue, but it seems like soldering a leg would be a better way to go - durable but easily reversible. Thanks!

My first build in a little while (and I think my 5th overall?)  The BYOC Leeds Fuzz (modeled after the Univox Superfuzz) is a great sounding pedal.  I'm giving it to a friend of mine as a gift and I'll be sorry to part with it.   Some of the wiring isn't as tidy as I would have liked and I should probably trim the transistors a little bit, but I'm really happy with the end result and my soldering is improving steadily.  I used Krylon spray paint and spray on polyurethane. I used the toaster oven method to bake the finish.  It came out a little uneven with some checking on the bottom that I couldn't sand out.  But, I like the color overall.

Nicely done.  Glad to hear that the Em Drive layout works out OK.  I'm about to put that together for my first vero build

Looks great. I love the decal and the name - that's a great concept

After listening to a demo of that pedal, I think I've got to build one for my friend who plays in a noise/punk/art band. This would be pretty perfect and he was looking for something that sounds like a "broken pedal" he can control. I think that this probably fits the bill pretty well. It's suprisingly musical given what it does.
