ookay, I get something.
The (+) & (-) pads at the bottom of the Aquaboy board are for a LED not for powering the board.
You need to run wires from (+15) and a (G) of the 3PRR to the (+) & (-) pads of the +9V at the top of the aquaboy board, next to the feedback pot pads.

No, I've followed the topic but when Jkokura and Midwayfair jumped in, I humbly leaved the topic because they know better! ;-)
So, after all, you seemed to have experienced the same "issue" that I had with my build. I've used a 1M for "release" and it was unusable... I don't remember if I've finally used something around 470k or a jumper...

Hi there,
looking at the documents and the schematics, you should wire the send (S) pad of the 3PRR to the (S) pad of the Aquaboy board.
And, of course the Return (R) of the Aquaboy to the (R) of  the 3PRR.

After reading the doc for the 3 new projects, I must say: Brian, you spoil the DIY peoples! You really take the builder by the hand!
About the Rustbucket 2019, I'm thinking of developing a quick hack for my browser to make it refresh the projects page automatically every seconds and order a board as soon it became available! ;-)
It's the first guitar effect project in a long time that make me want to build it and play with it NOW!

What value did you used for the "Release" resistor?

I've build one this summer, maybe I'll be able to give you some help.
Do you have build the full 5 pots version?
I remember, when using this version, that a good clean compression could be hard to get. The pots interacts at lot.
Please let me know how you sets each pots.

The sticker is plain because the buyer just wanted it like that. I like to do simple and clean but I also like to put some graphics with it... another time... Maybe for the one I will build for myself ;-)

Is "bite" like the Ruetz mod on rats?  How effective is it? Do you notice anything when in "forbidden" mode?

Yes "bite" is the Ruetz mod. I find it very effective in the 3 "normal" gain mode. In "Forbiden/insane" mode it does strictly nothing.

What did you use for the opto? H11F1? I might be interested in that spare board by the way.

No, I've used H11F3. Banzaimusic have it. If you want a board, shoot me a PM. I've paid $29.85 for 3 boards, so 10$ + shipping for a board? For the rotary switch you'll need an AlphaSR1712F-0204. Mouser sells them.

Hello everyone!A guy asked me for a clone of a Bixonic Expandora, which I didn't know about, and I've discovered an interesting circuit.I designed a PCB and ordered it with OSH Park. I've choose to use a 2P4T rotary switch in place of the original internal DIP switches.
Everything turns great and you can see the results.
I've 1 PCB left over If someone is interested.
