That organ is amazing.  Where is that located?

The playing is amazing too, of course, but that goes without saying.

I'm in for 3.

Thanks!

Are the boxes laser etched??

If so, I thought someone was toying with the idea of making that a service available to the DIY group.

I might have a couple of CJ's boards that I won't build if you want them.

PPP will do anything you want, nut you will need more detail.

Something like the last page here: http://home.comcast.net/~gprause/BuildDocs/Xtc_V1.2_Build_Doc%20V2.pdf

Sweet build, i think you might get another nice message from Wampler about this one, looks like the real deal  ;)

Maybe, but only if I try to sell it!  (which I won't!)

What an absolutely slick pedal, inside and out!
The gold labeling is a great match for the enclosure color. Is it a decal ?

No, it's Pulsar Pro.  The color is actually a happy accident.  It was white, but became "aged" when I powder coated it.  The finish was smooth and pretty, so I left it.  Gotta say I'm pleased with it.  Sound AND finish.

So it's time to start posting some pictures.  This one has a somewhat high parts count, and matching the transistors is always fun, but the sound is really nice and worth the effort.  Once it's done, of course.

All that switching going on and the wiring is soooo neat.  That is a work of art.  Truly a masterpiece.

Congrats!

Just curious how you did the white on black labeling?  Silkscreen?  Pedal parts plus?

Pulsar Pro.  I'm starting to get the hang of it now.  Was tough at first; product has a learning curve of sorts.

This one is black wrinkle powder with clear lacquer on top.   The lacquer gives a yellow tint to the white text though.  I've been having PPP powder coat everything lately, but I'm considering going back to enamels so I can have a clear that is actually clear.

You could do it with the Pulsar Pro system.  It's supposed to be able to do colored graphics on dark backgrounds, but I haven't tried that yet.  I'm getting the white on darks pretty well, but still learning.  I definitely have a love / hate relationship with that product.  Not to mention, it's expensive to start and there is a steep learning curve.  http://www.pulsarprofx.com/

This is white on black wrinkle coat powder:

Top notch! Clean & classy. The more I see those 'kidney beans' the more I realize I need to finally stock up on 'em.

Good luck finding them.  They've gone off to electronics heaven.  I found some on eBay, but they are a mix of ECQ-B and ECQ-V.

The nice thing is that since they are bigger than box caps, the box caps fit with room to spare.

Build Reports / VIPfx - T-Wrex II

So I finally managed to get this thing done.  For a change I've actually been playing guitar more than working on pedals and just haven't had time.  But now it's done, and it's cool.

I saw some posts by Juansolo and Marauder who both had the idea to run the T-Wrex at 18 volts.  Of course I had to try it.  More importantly though, they changed the boost to a SHO type boost and ran it after the distortion instead of before.  Now the boost is just that, a nice clean volume boost of the signal that's already there.  The boost is so much better this way.

So thanks to both Juansolo and Marauder for the great idea.
