my commision build in LB, Freddy fuzz and Eternity give me enough stress and hold my courage to build LB again. Hahaha

General Questions / Re: Difference In Components
January 25, 2020, 05:54:24 AM
please, buy something like dca atlas or lcr tester, you can know instantly the real value

i care if all component fit in my layout, although always use box caps first if available, then MLCC. That why tool like lcr tester useful, we can choose the nearest exact value on schematic. Remember, value first.

its like a taste preference, some builder love panasonic ecq, some love tropical fish cap, some love axial cap. Its about taste, yeah, like building, some like in pcb, some in perf, some in vero, whatever you want, whatever you can. Its all about diy.

Nice Muffs man!!! I love the sound of an IC muff. The mayo is creamy for sure.
Thanks Jimi! If I'm being honest, I've become a little obsessed with muffs since my first one [emoji23] Hoping to get my hands on a few more of the '15 boards to build the other 4 variations. Love that layout. And who doesn't love swimming in Muffs?

me too!

Muff is pedal that started my journey. Being addict in muff make me hand draw layout in my free time on job. Even draw for quad array. And always have switchable tone caps is must for me, although still favorite scooped 3n9. Dont care if use spdt or dpdt on-off-on, use whatever in my stock. Because dpdt on-on-on became rare here.

My favorite? Tri Dirty Booster. Still in plastic box in my office desk. Hahaha. Never sell that although some friend want to pay. They cant buy my eureka pedal.

My very first pedal was in a plastic box, and it is awesome at picking up the local radio stations.

If you do use it, maybe put some copper tape on the inside as shielding?

+1
Stil do housing circuit in plastic box and sometimes wood. No need to shield all inside, just input jack and star grounding that, fine.

why my mind think about fusion of timmy and barber. Or like wild screamer from trueVAL, with tone stack in middle circuit.

add
after watch Liverpool, remember a circuit from diablochris called postfontaine. Sound good!

this is one of my favorit band. Used to cover their song.

the left drummer, Mr Mutter, original member. He leave for skateboard and other band, because have contract. Then Mr Sandy in. When Mr Mutter want comeback, they can accomodate him without kicked Mr Sandy. Win-Win solution.

When I traveled in Indonesia in 2002, I noticed that musicians there are highly skilled at '80s covers!  :)

agree! 80's is golden (cover) era, almost as foundation too. And too many memories gig for that. hehe

and 90's, birth of some local legend. Ah, miss my childhood.

ah im sorry, 0400 here :P didnt read about strip/vero
attached quick perf layout, didnt bring my thinkpad. For value, you can compare with David blog and Juansolo rusty sheriff.

imo, you still need that switch if you set too high, 1n and 4n7, not 47n

for strip/vero, see tagboard update layout

hao rust driver

General Questions / Re: Soft Switching

i hate 555 because much current. I know isn't problem since always use PSU. But some friend here is battery die hard. So move on to cheap solution, like this. Easy to etch or perf. And NEC relay is cheap and available everywhere, compare to panasonic.

and thanks for remind me that layout, must try that. Hunt for fujitsu!
