That's great. I think we all feel a debt of gratitude towards you Bean. I have a whole pedal board full of great stuff because of you. My knowledge has increased because you've set up this board without any cost to us. Plus, I've always been amazed at your unselfishness. Allowing others to have their sub-forums here to sell their boards.
You've created a great community and I think we all want to make it as easy on you as possible.
A BIG TIME +1 from me as well
I pre-ordered my laserwolf and had no problem at all with that.
p.s. Just finished my 2nd Chunk Chunk 5 mins ago!

I found the same issue when I did mine and fixed it that day and forgot to mention it in my build report.  I ended up jumping the ground and using the positive from the phase ossilating LED as my main on/off indicator.  So now whenever I turn the phase effect on, the LED shows me the speed.  I like it better that way.

Will a Bc549b work in place of a BC549c? I have a bunch of bc549b's. Wanting to build Weener wah and Collosalus.

Here is my second DIY pedal.  Yes I said second build ever (my 1st being the chunk chunk). Laserwolf build here and trying to stay with the Van Halen theme, which is what this pedal is designed for, it is named "Atomic Punk" probably my favorite song from the first album.  First off, this is a hell of an undertaking(my eyes are shot!) I did not wire in a 4tdp switch, I decided to hardwire my effects combination.  The enclosure is a 1590DD from BLMS. The "Kevison Effects" thing is just my first mid and last names smashed together. I thought it was cool.  Sounds great through my homemade 1987x plexi head. Hope you all like. Peace Madbeaners!! http://youtu.be/HzShhpZOuRM

Open Discussion / Laserwolf Time
March 10, 2015, 12:25:28 PM
I don't know about the rest of ya'll but I'm starting my official "laserwolf watch" this week. Which requires me running over anyone that gets in my way as I race to the mailbox, hoping, praying that the laserwolf pcb I scored on pre-order is there.  Im sure the build report page will be howling later this week. I am very curious as to what others do with theirs.
Peace out madbeaners

Open Discussion / Effects loop attenuator
March 06, 2015, 05:24:23 PM
Ok so I don't know if anyone else has done this, so here it goes. I have been a guitarist for 30 years, and playing out live the biggest problem I have is not cutting through the mix during my solos. We do not have a sound guy. So I have searched all over the net for a solution and the only thing I can find are suggestions like: "use a tube screamer", or "put a treble boost in the front of the amp". But doing that only adds more gain.  What I need is more VOLUME!  So I came up with this volume attenuator that runs between the send and return of the effects loop. It's super easy and cheap.(always a good thing). Fits in a 1590A so it takes up little space but makes a hugh impact. I made a quick diagram. You set the amp to your lead volume and adjust the pedal for your rhythm volume.  When you hit the pedal it opens the loop to the lead volume. The dc jack is only for the led. Hope this helps other guitar players out there. Peace Madbeaners.

Is it possible to use a C1M pot in the smoothie build instead of the 500K reverse pot? If so, what will the difference be if any?

Would I still orient the L78L05 on the pcb the same way the LM78L05 would go?
