Build Reports / Re: Low Rider
October 30, 2011, 04:35:27 PM
Thanks, I think that I am really going to enjoy this pedal.  I use an inkjet printer (need to upgrade to a laser jet) with normally white decal paper. The finish is 2 part epoxy resin.  I put the 3pdt on too quickly and got some lifting by the switch.  Jumped the gun a little.

First MB build post. Used both C10, 12 mods. Hvent really cranked it up too much yet but what I heard I liked so far.

I just finished building a Low Rider.  Why are there 2 9V pads on the board. Is one for the LED? Thanks

Mods / Retrograde Mod - increase octave up?
September 28, 2011, 10:09:20 AM
Anybody have an idea for component change to increase the octave up effect of the retrograde.  I think it is a bit too subtle for me. Thanks

OK got it up and running.  A bad gain pot.  Thanks especially to Matthew for your help!

It is probably middle output in terms of gain and volume.  I turn either pot either way and no influence at all. Just not sure which way to go re; trouble shooting. Its strange.  ???  At work so noavailable images except at BYOC where I posted it in forum "Show off Your Pedal".

Hello, just build a chunk chunk. Presence and  BMT work fine however volume and gain pots do not do anything.  Trannies are biased fine. Cant figure it out. Any help would be great. Thanks

Tech Help - Projects Page / Re: Chunk Chunk Biasing
August 12, 2011, 12:03:13 AM
Thanks Jacob,  I looked at all the components and found a mistake.  I used a 470 ohm in
R7 when it should be a 470k.  I do not have the correct resistor and will have to order it.  Could this be the the cause of the issue that I am having. R7 follows C7 which follows Q2. I do not know enough about circuits yet to make that connection.

Well, I switched out the T2 and there was no change in the biasing.  It stays around 9V regardless of what position the trimmer is in.  Is there a component that may be bad.  I am fairly new to building and circuits etc.  Any additional help would be greatly appreciated.
Oh yeah, I can sucessfully bias the other trannies .

Tech Help - Projects Page / Chunk Chunk Biasing

Just built a Chunk Chunk.  Works OK with the exception of I cannot bias T2. No matter how I turn the trimmer, I still get the same reading (about 9V) on the drain.  Thinking it may be a bad trimmer but unlikely.  I need some help. Thanks, David :'(

General Questions / Choosing Resistors?
February 25, 2011, 11:09:43 AM
Hello,  I am attempting to build my first pedal (Firebomb).  I have modded a few pedals previously.  I am sure that this question has been addressed a thousand times before however which is the best choice for resistors ( metal film or carbon comp). Thanks

General Questions / Eliminate 9V Battery?
February 19, 2011, 04:05:09 PM
Hello, Newbie to pedal building.  I will be building a new firebomb and would like to eliminate the battery source.  Will the jack serve as a ground as I have noticed that w/out the battery clip there is no ground going to the jack?  Thanks
