DAMN! Meathead rules!!   

I think it's great that MIT is offering this online course. However, the math requirement and sign-up process makes this course prohibitive for some people, and not so fun (to me). My solution has been to talk to professors at various local universities to see if I can just sit in their classes, filling an empty seat so to speak. So far, I have been able to do this several times and the classes I "took" have been the most fun compared to all the other courses I paid for and had to take. All fun and NO WORK! 

I have no certificates nor any proof, but I have a couple dozen hours of science classes, and I think (hope) I learned more than when I registered and actually worked in previous classes. I certainly had more fun. Next year I think I'll try to "sign up" for some biology and chemistry classes, if there's no more astrophysics classes available.

... my dad had one in his garage, mounted onto a bench, and you sharpen chisels and stuff with it.  Its got 2 spinning discs.  Its probably also called an angle grinder...

Smell of garlic..?  The smell is hte same as...You know those womens fake nail shops you walk past and the fumes hit you?  Those nails are acrylic, and they smell the same. 

Careful. I've messed up the grinding discs when shaving down the plexiglass -- it melts and sticks to it. My solution was to turn on and off the grinder power switch so that it was not spinning so fast (it's very old and has no RPM setting other than warp drive ), and then grinding the plexiglass a little, then hitting the on-off switch again, etc.

Also, the burning plexiglass fumes/dust can be very toxic, so be careful.

The Madbean logo would also look good on coffee bean brown and olive green t-shirts.

The material should be something tough, like hemp or thick cotton, in order to survive several solder burns and hot coffee stains.
