+1 more, Eeyore is the best anti-Klon graphic I've seen, well done!

man that came out great, and no knobs is so 2015!! The PCB traces are really cool, you could make a great looking decal just from that (the one you have looks excellent BTW). Cigars everyone!

I always love the way your builds look but I am really partial to the 8-Ball. Someone posted a demo in the audio/video demo section and it sounded really good. Definitely on my radar.

You have a purple LED that's actually purple. Where do you order those? I keep ending up with those bluish violet ones. I love those too but want some real purple ones!

thanks Bret! The LED is actually a UV LED I got from Tayda. They're pretty cool looking but I read they're not so great for your eyes if it's something you're going to be looking at for lengths of time. Probably not a big deal in pedal though.

You should put that roland stuff in a pedal!!!
;-) ;-)
I opened up the back panel to look at it. The wiring harness is insane, I tried not to touch anything and just closed it back up.  :D I got to mess around with it a little over lunch through my pocket pod. Even the regular passive pickups seem hotter than my Tele, I'll be interested to hear what it sounds like through a real amp.

Brian posted a link to the Sweetwater website on his FB page a few weeks ago where you could sign up for their Holiday give-aways. I figured it would just get a bunch of spam from them (which I do now) but maybe I would get a discount code or something I could use to buy some strings. Then last week I got an email from one of their reps saying I won a Roland G-5 VG Strat! I kind of thought it was a scam, since I pretty much never win stuff, but the guitar showed up yesterday and is really nice. It's got the Roland modeling setup installed and when that's switched off it's a regular MIM Strat. I have to say, Sweetwater's reputation for great customer service is for real. Their rep was really great on the phone, in spite of the fact that I've never purchased anything from them, the guitar set-up out of the box was really great, came with a gig bag, and they even emailed pix of the guitar along with the tracking numbers. So, a huge thanks to Sweetwater and to 'Bean for the give-away link!

It definitely sounds different through my amp than through my little pocket POD, I probably need to mess around with it more on an actual amp.

I know what you mean about the Fairfield Barbershop but there are some rare moments where it just sounds awesome. I think it loves loud amps and a little sag to make it meld.

Hi Folks,
I got these finished up all right around the same time so I figured I would post them as a group.

Two Monkeys is  KOT-style setup with a Morning Glory and one of Rutger's Atomic Blue Overdrive PCBs. Switches tend to be set and forget for me, and interfered with the decal design so I made them jumpered. I'm really, really happy with the sound on this one, a great combination. My first two-in-one, too!

The Xenon is a Son of Screamer-type circuit built on one of Rutger's nice Nucleon boards. He added a focus control, like on the Zendrive, making at a really flexible and great-sounding circuit.

96 Tears probably would have been a better name for a Wah pedal, I'm not sure why it seemed like a fit for this but here it is. This is a Fairfield Barbershop built using the GuitarFX vero layout. I'm still kind of on the fence with this one, I guess I need to figure out how to best use it. It's probably the most transparent drive I've played. I know that's a cliche, but it doesn't seem to color the tone much at all, just adds a little top and bottom like a loudness switch on a stereo. The Sag gets sorta synthy at higher settings.

Madbean's 8-Ball. I'm surprised I don't see more build reports for this circuit because it really sounds great, very well balanced. I really like this one a lot and expect it to get a lot of use!

Wow, that came out great! The etch is super impressive, as are the guts considering all the routing going on in there. Imagining myself doing all that offboard wiring even gave me a little panic attack. Any plans for a demo clip?  :D

Sweet build! Very cool design using the slide pot. To my eyes, the slider looks red, though...
maybe I need to adjust the gamut on my monitor :-D If it's not pink, it should be. Super build either way!

Pink Slider wins the Internets. Excellent job, it sounds like a really cool combo & came out great!

I wonder if you could print them the other way around and do a logo on the top?  8)

I was actually thinking of doing a "cut out" logo on the bottom. Might defeat the purpose of preventing the back from grounding on the PCB, but it would look cool. And for boards where the pots aren't directly underneath, you'd be able to see it.

As for printing them with the back facing up, it would only work with "supports" enabled in the printing. Without that, there is nothing for the center bits to sit on, and it would just collapse in the middle. The downside to using supports is that it eats up a lot more filament and takes a lot longer. The only way these thing make sense to me for DIY is if they are fast and cheap.

Glad you weighed in on this, Gray. I was going to reach out to you about some freelance 3D work anyway. I figure you're pretty handy with that stuff, and I suck balls at it.  ;D
haha! No problem, let me know if there's something I can take a shot at. I haven't done any 3D printing myself but I have a couple friends who have done some and couple probably tap them for info.

Super-fun idea and excellent work! Which knobs did you end up going with?
