I've had the boards made, enclosure printed (and even drilled!) for months and finally got this put together over the weekend.





It's a modified Bluesbreaker circuit with an EQD Arrows booster at the output. I've played around with the circuit before, but as part of a 2-in-1 project and wanted a stand-alone version for my personal pedal board. Relay bypass is the Incandenza circuit. 1590B enclosure was UV printed by Tayda (the grey around "Bruin" should have been white but that's Tayda I guess). The "Bruin" name comes from one of my sons. His name is Ewan (Yoo-un) and we've always called him bear or Ewie-bear since he was little, so Bruin's a nod to that. Velcro'd it down on my pedal board almost immediately and played an entire set yesterday with it always on. Might need to make a board for the masses. 

is there a reason to pick the LM833N over a TL072 or 4558D in this build other than that's what was in the original?

Nope. Just what was in the original MG. Should work with any of the usual suspects, but it does sound very good with 833.

Just put in an order with the fab house that should cover everything that's out of stock yesterday. Should be stocked back up in a couple weeks.

Thanks for bringing this up. I must have missed the announcement email from Mouser on this. I was a HUGE fan of making custom BOMs within Mousers site and this seems like a great step forward. I am starting to get back into building and wanted a way to see what all I have on hand and a good clean slate to organize it. Ill let you know how it goes.

Very cool project, man! Not seen that warble topology before. I was bored last night and whipped up a PCB in Eagle if you or anyone else wants it. I uploaded it to OshPark, but could do a run from Elecrow or JLC if there's interested to make it cheaper. Oh and I kept most of the components vertical for your vero instincts

These allow for either JFETs or BJTs. 5 for a buck. (pardon my own horn tooting)
