Tried out this method last week on a rehouse project and it worked great! Thanks Forrest!

Storyboardist, a member here, has an incredible blogsite with more layouts than you can shake a stick at.

Exactly, I've been using more and more off his site. They are great.

Thanks guys!

So when I'm building from these layouts, do I just make all the dark black line connections with solder?

As a couple people have said already, bend the leads of resistors and caps as you go to form the traces. I start by populating flat components (resistors and any diodes) and generally that forms ~80% of the traces. Then do caps and there shouldn't be much lead bending left to do. Typically I have to use a bit of component cutoff to finish the ground trace, but it's not too bad. I've been working on a perf tutorial video that I would post here if it were done... Need to get my butt in gear. Anyway, hope that helps and good luck!

Wowie! Hope it sounds as good as it looks! Also, my admiration goes to you guys who stay up late past the family, then DON'T play the thing - I can't do it, so I just go to bed mad, thinking about when I'm gonna sneak in another crack at it the next day.  >:( ;D

Oh, I still play it, but have to leave my late 70s Peavey 4x10 at like 1 on the volume. :D

Build Reports / EQD Hoof Reaper clone

Finished wiring this up last night. Three 3PDTs in one 1590BB isn't something I want to make a regular habit, but holy crap does this thing sound good. For those who aren't familiar, the Hoof Reaper is a 3-in-1 fuzz. The Hoof is a modified Muff with germanium transistors and LEDs in the clipping stages. The Reaper is a silicon/germanium hybrid Tone Bender type fuzz. Throw in a Green Ringer in the middle and you have the Hoof Reaper. I finished this at like 10 o'clock last night, and it took a lot of will power to not crank it up. Fortunately I did not wake up my kids (or the rest of the neighborhood). Anyway, well worth the build if your a fuzz addict like me.

Woodstock (where we live)

Hello neighbor. I'm a dozen miles down Main St/Canton Rd from you.

#206
I live north of the city in Cherokee County and it can get as suburban or middle of nowhere as you want (almost). The road my neighborhood is off goes: big high school, couple of subdivisions, a 55 and up community, horse farm. haha The further north in the county you go the more "in the sticks" you can get. Grew up in Marietta, and still love the area, but Cherokee County is cheaper and still has good schools (my wife is also a teacher). Woodstock (where we live) is growing and has a pretty good suburban vibe, but you don't have to go too far North to be in the GA mountains. Anyway, if you find yourself in Woodstock while you're here, holler!
