Akai MPK mini has a bit of everything: pads, two octave keyboard, arpeggiator, and eight rotary controls you can assign to do different things (at least very easily within Ableton Live).

One thing that I learned from a member on this forum was to check every resistor with my multi meter before using it in a build. Is it monotonous, yes (especially when you have a large resistor count), but it will keep you from potentially making a mistake. My rate of success on first time fire ups went up a lot after I started doing this.  I use a piece of styrofoam and line up the resistors according to the build doc and start measuring them.  It's pretty much fool proof if you go slow when you start putting them on the board.
I've just begun testing them beforehand, however as I don't buy in bulk I'm pretty much using whatever ordered. A value has to be way off for me to ditch it, cheapskate that I am ;D

I'm curious though where others draw the line, and if there are certain parts of a circuit where one should only use resistors with accurate values?

Superb job! What colour enclosure is that? Looks very Dimension C.

Good idea on testing before boxing. I'm a little embarrassed I didn't think of that myself.
But after swapping the lugs around, the pedal is working just fine and sounds incredible. There's an abundance of different textures available... I had no idea how much fun this thing was going to be  ;D

Ah, I see... I'll swap the lugs around and go from there. Thanks very much for your help, Jon.

Evening all,
I've just finished putting together the Giant Hogweed that drolo so kindly gifted me in his Christmas PIF, and to my dismay it passes no sound... Not even the LED comes on. After a couple of successful projects, this one was a bit of an ordeal getting everything into the enclosure, and I'm not exactly proud of the guts... But I will post them if I get really stuck! Straight away I've noticed that I connected all the lines that need power to the lug on the DC jack normally used for the battery...
So my question is, does it matter which + lug you connect to?
Thanks in advance,

Addy

Looks like someone finally put this into practical use :-) :

Not nearly as interesting as Jeri Ellsworth's take on the floppy as a delay!

Nice looking set of pedals there!

I've not seen a milled enclosure before... Looks very nice indeed!

Can the mods delete this? Thanks

Edited: figured out a buffer in front helped
