I built a Hamlet+ from your board Jacob and had this issue where the repeats were faster than what was tapped. The LED was in time however. I tried a bunch of PT2399s and a bunch of digipots. Still no go.. have you had anyone else report that issue?

Hey it sounds like you might have something wrong... it's a really squishy compressor when past 12 oclock! Definitely check your voltages and things.

Definitely get some legit transistors - if you got them from ebay for a 'cheap' price, they're likely to be fake. I bought a bunch of J201s from ebay which were all useless (or at least I don't know what they originally were!).

Isn't the extra stage at the front of the circuit?

My first post here so hello

I just etched the BFC this afternoon and built it up. Everything is working well, though the action of the clipping control confuses me. It seems to only to send signal to the compressor when turned completely CCW. Otherwise the level is just below unity (ie not sending much signal to the comp circuit I think).

I'm just wondering what the reason for the change is on this schematic in relation to the Keeley 4 Knob, because it only has the 2 lugs of the pot connected and omits the 390k resistor in parallel with the 2n2 cap.
