Here's my folder with all my collected CE1 build docs and schematics. It has everything you guys are asking for and more. Just don't expect me to be able to help you since mine doesn't work right either...

A new clone coming out???

Something like a used Yamaha Clavinova or a Roland RD-series would probably be good. Maybe a Casio. I would not recommend an acoustic piano at this stage, especially not one of those free shitty Wurlitzer uprights. They sound awful.

P.S. an electric piano is short for electro-mechanical piano, i.e. a Fender Rhodes, Clavinet, Wurlitzer 200a, etc. What you're thinking of is an electronic piano  ;)

Open Discussion / Re: NAD (A Maggie Holy Grail)

When I saw Maggie, first I thought of the Simpsons, then I thought of Magnapan speakers...

You might consider building a Marshall 18 Watt variant called the Marwatt to satisfy your Hiwatt desire.

General Questions / Re: What ldr for tremulus lune

Most build docs recommend 3mm diffused red LED and Tayda LDR.

My chorus   :)

How does your PCB differ from drog_trog's? I think the weak part of his is the goofy and expensive Recom power supply. I've never gotten my build to work properly. I was kind of hoping madbean would release a reliable build someday...

Open Discussion / Re: Amp ohm mismatch

For tube amps it is safe to run a speaker cab with higher ohms than the amp's recommended ohm output. Usually it's ok to run a cab with one step lower in ohms than the amp, as long as the volume is kept lower. I would say go for it, but don't crank it.

I'm pretty sure mayo was invented by the Romans.
When I was growing up I didn't like it at all, now I think it's necessary for a sandwich. You put some on, but don't slather it on like peanut butter. It's supposed to be used as a tool: it's like putting a layer of water repelling oil on the bread of a sandwich to keep any wet ingredients from making the bread soggy, but since it's an emulsion it doesn't make the bread soggy either. At the same time it salvages dry bread, again without making it soggy.

As for the American palette, there are certainly regional cuisines that are packed with flavor: southwest, Tex-Mex, BBQ, Cajun, etc. It seems like the more North and inland you go, the blander the food gets. My dad said he was driving through Montana and stopped at a Mexican food restaurant and the salsa was basically ketchup...

Thai food is amazing. It's like a flavor explosion of every flavor category all at once. I'm white but I love it so much I even bought a kaffir lime tree so I can make it at home  8)

The tagboardeffects and PedalPCB build docs both recommend the Tayda LDRs.

You might be one of the only people besides me who ever did this project on perfboard.

Lovely build, though.

The logical next perfboard step is obviously the cosmo tremolo. ;D

I still want your layout for the cosmo lol. That thing looks amazing  8)

I want to be able to sweep the phase on the Mutron Phasor 2 like you can on the Biphase. I came up with this simple little circuit add-on which I adapted from the ROG Phozer who adapted it from RG Keen's Univibe mod:
http://www.runoffgroove.com/phozer.html

I've only simulated it so far but it seems to work great.
I drew up this modification to the PedalPCB Mutron clone schematic (because it's roomier), but Madbean's Glasshole will modify in the same way.
I did it based on using a 10kb linear expression pedal, with a resistor to taper the pedal into a fake log pot. The log pot seems to be better in this case.
I'm not sure if the diode to ground is actually necessary.

Essentially, the expression pedal just controls the brightness of the LED in the LED/LDR. The switch determines if the phaser sweeps using the LFO or the expression pedal.

I was more interested in all the options besides square wave. Ramp up, ramp down, triangle, sine, pulse width. Could be some fun sounds in there.
Do you know what the Culturejam or GC ones are called or links?

Edit:
I think the GCFX one must be the NotAPhasorII. The demo was unimpressive.

The LFO of the Tremulus Lune has a wonderful amount of control over the wave shapes. Can it be used as is for the LFO of an optical phaser, such as the Mutron Phaser 2?
