I'd think C2 should be flipped since the input is at ground potential and the base of the first transistor is biased with positive voltage.

That was my thought too, but the negative side of that cap definitely goes to the base of Q1.

R1 doesn't seem necessary, either, being in parallel with the Dirt pot.

Bring only one pedal and make sure it is an HM-2.

Yeah man I was worried, I assumed you are self employed, how bad it would be. It's stories like these that make me realize how lucky I am that my company provides really good health insurance. Though it could be a ploy to keep people from leaving.

We get insurance through my wife's company but the plan gets worse ALL THE TIME. I think our deductible is like $5k a year now.

BTW, for all those non-Americans who are curious: my ER visit which included a CT scan, EKG, blood test, zero medication and BP monitoring all done in about 2.5 hours (and probably less than 7 minutes with an actual doctor) came to over $2500 WITH insurance. Without: over $10k. That's how fucked up the USA is.

Yes that switching will work. But your schematic shows the LED directly connected to ground, not switched to ground.

Check for continuity b/w lug1 of the Volume pot and ground first. Show a pic and or voltages as well.

I want to say thanks again for all the well wishes over the past week or so. It's meant a lot to know so many people took the time out to write messages. I am feeling a lot better than I did a month ago when this started. Blood pressure is mostly under control and the bad head pressure has improved (although it does continue to be a problem). Anyway, I'm about 80% back to normal which is enough to get back to regular activity level.

Lastly a change to the RoadRage: it is now sold as a single board rather than two together. However, there is an option to purchase a panel of 6 for a 20% discount. The panel requires you to break them apart but it's easy to do (it's v-Scored).

You aren't going to find anything like the 5C4/2 at Mouser. This is an effect where the designated part is pretty much a must and unfortunately the sources have dried up over the last year or so. Pedalpartsandkits had some for $13 for a while and those are gone it seems. Wish I could be of more help. Actually, at this point I might as well discontinue the Sawse (I've only got a few boards left anyway) since the cheapest I'm seeing the 4/2 is like $20.
