Those Tofurkey's aren't all that big (I've had my share as well).  Did you need a rafter of Tofurkeys or is there some new, supersized Tofurkey?

I think it was fed lots of growth hormones so one was enough.

The optocoupler is for the envelope follower, actually. It's what drives the dynamic changes in speed and depth.

Peter suggests 1/2W for when and 18v power supply is used but so far all the VFE pedals I've seen are 9v only. A 1/4W is fine for all the VFE projects I've released so far and is actually what is recommended in the new switching board doc. There's no downside to using 1/2W (the upside being better current handling and slightly less noise prone), though. It's just less commonly used in pedals.

Is using the P in the P1K have any significance to anyone other than VFE?

Not AFAIK. I'm sure he used "P" to designate the 1/2W in that position as opposed to the other 1k resistor on the board which is 1/8W.

I'd be nervous about buying any tube amp kit that doesn't spell "High Voltage" correctly.  ;-)

Maybe it's supposed to be more like, "Hi,...errr, VOLTAGE!"

So, the frequency boost is supposed to take it from 10k (what you are hearing) to around 50k, IIRC. Are you using the SCPA version or the CPA version of the 7660? You need to use the SCPA version. If you are, then you might try a different inverter. The MAX1044 or TC1044. Just so it's more confusing the correct MAX version is the CPA and correct TC1044 version is SCPA.

The Trio needs to be in a true bypass looper just to avoid having a buffer in the clean signal path. This can be part of a chunk of fx chains. Maybe I only want it on the stacked Timmy>Klon part of my board, which is itself in an A/B looper that let's me switch between that and two stacked KoTs. Of course, the modulation section of my board also needs to be behind an true bypass looper to get rid of any buffers and make it so I can just turn on all those choruses, delays, and reverbs with a single switch. Lastly, the whole board needs a true bypass looper so my pickups can see the amp's input directly when I want it clean. But my cables are too long, so I need a good buffer in front of it all.  The Trio's controller can sit next to the buffer for easy access.

The only way it could be better is if there was a third one for the second. Your pedals pedal has a pedal also.
