I've tried the Zygote, and I ran on 2 issues, one is that the Fuzz Pot is wired backward.
The other was a noise problem at max gain setting, I've never found if it was a problem from my build or from the circuit. I think it's not from the circuit because the problem was that I was hearing radio interference and it was unboxed...

D'oh! I'll fix that pot. Noise could be from being unboxed, also the lighting situation where you are building (certain types of lights can make a lot of noise on unshielded circuits).

Awesome additions to the etcher's paradise!  Luvs me some EHX pedals!

edit:  noticed the many un-verified projects.  I'll make it a priority to verify some of these!

Some are verified but not listed as such. I really need to update that part.

I never go to the movies alone (it's been several years) but I did see Covenant on Friday. Alien and Aliens have always been two of my favorite and I don't even hate the other two. I thought Prometheus was decent if you look past the stuff people complain about with that movie and it also was just beautiful looking. But, Covenant is a mess of a film...maybe more than Prometheus. No way to describe why without spoilers, though.

I had high hopes with the premise Prometheus set up but it really wasn't followed through in a satisfying way. And, some of the CG is down right terrible IMO. The set extensions and environmental CG are absolutely amazing but some of the creature effects, space scenes and animation are just not up to par for 2017 (more practical would have been better anyway). But my main problem was with what happens, who did what and why, etc.

But, Fassbender is so outstanding he really redeems a lot of it. He's been one of my favorites since Inglorious Basterds. Also, I kinda dug the ending. Don't mean to sound like a movie snob...this is just one that I really looked forward to and I wish it had been a bit better. Maybe a second viewing will change my mind.

Holy crap, I think that's the biggest etchable board for an effect I've ever seen.

Then you should check out the layout (not mine) for the Ring Stinger :)

Total Recall
- Based on the EHX DMM

This is the same project as the manufactured board except for 1) it goes in a 1790NS and 2) does not include the BBD expansion board (so 2x MN3005 only)

You have incorrect resistors in there. 470k instead of 470R. Not sure those are 2M2 resistors, either.

Oh man...this is hard to believe.

That diode is shown installed backwards on the tutorial guide. Someone mentioned this a couple of weeks ago and I had forgotten that I corrected it afterward but never notated it in the doc. So, I've just now put a note in the tutorial pointing out the error. IOW, flip D3 around the right way!

Well, I'm sorry I didn't check the resistors sooner. It would have saved us some time. But, I believe it will solve your problem. If you need some resistors, I can send you some to save you yet another order.

It appears you may have used 2Ms (or 2 Ohm) in place of 20ks. The fourth band should be red. I can't quite make out what color is on that band in your pic (is it yellow or maybe silver?)

edit - Your 62k also appears incorrect. Do you have more from those batches you can check with a DMM?

Still there. It's center pin negative like all our regular power supplies - just 18v.

Those new voltages seem spot on, for the most part. This is a stumper. If this were me, the next step I would take is looking at the traces around the LM13700s with a magnifying glass. What you are looking for is a manufacture error like a micro trace under the solder mask connecting it from a pad to the ground plane...or just something that doesn't look right. Not the pads that are grounded, though - those each have 4 little bridges that connect from the pad to the ground place. I'm talking something smaller that looks out of place. Can't be sure it is a board error but with different ICs from different sources and some good voltages the possibilities start narrowing.

I've looked at your trace side pic and I don't see anything so far, but it will easier for you to get a better look.

Well I'm not really sure what's happening here. Sorry to ask you to do this, but try this -

Take out all the ICs. Put in only IC3. Does it get hot?
If not, put in IC1. Does IC3 get hot now?
If not, put in IC2...IC3 gets hot now, doesn't it? Just determining if IC2 is the current sink here (which I suspect it is).

If you get to step 3 and it turns out how I think, then let's see a pic of your board and wiring. Actually, we should probably see that anyway at this point.
