I put in a request to Steve a few weeks ago to see if he would carry the small 2P4T switches and it looks like they are available now.

Kinda pricey tho (compared to regular colors). Which kinda begs the question - what the hell difference does the solder mask color make in price? I never got this.

who does yours then Brian?

Oh I use Elecrow regularly for prototypes (as well as OSH Park). I just meant the purple was more than twice as expensive than their standard colors. Gots no problem with Elecrow quality, though.

Very sorry to hear that Jimi. That is way too young.

Global Annoucements / VTL5C4/2 for Sawse Source
February 27, 2017, 02:01:28 PM
Normally I don't make announcements on parts, but in this case it is warranted. The 5C4/2 required for the Sawse project is difficult to find (and why the PCB is so cheap). Luckily, there is new source for these at Pedal Parts and Kits. Here is a link to the item:

https://www.pedalpartsandkits.com/vtl5c4-2/#cc-m-product-11145806357

I've also updated the Sawse doc with the link. This part is pretty spendy but they are obsolete and I'm betting fairly pricey to acquire, FYI.

No worries...I figured that's what it was. Here is the full build doc for the board.
#3010
Can you post a pic of the board please?
#3011
Not that I'm aware of. Which caps are you seeing a discrepancy in? I just spot-checked all the caps in the build doc against the Eagle schematic/pcb and didn't see anything.

For any given number of pedals you will have n! unique combinations for ordering, so for 3 pedals it's 6 possibilities. I would not even wanna try to parse that out into mechanical switching. It'd be easier to just build individual effects and make a patch bay where you switch the order.

I need to re-check those voltages in the PB. I think I have a couple written down incorrectly. I would hold off before doing anything else (should be able to check in the morning).

I've gotten some from polida on eBay that were good. Was a while ago but maybe these would work...

AFAIK yes. I would socket it just the same. But the pinouts are identical. It's been quite a while so I don't remember exactly why I spec'd J112, but if I indicated 2n5457 as a sub, then I tried it so that leads me to believe a 5485 would work.
