On the BOM and schematic, I mislabeled the compander as NE571 when it should have read NE570. The document and schematic have been corrected and re-uploaded.

Sorry, the BOM should say NE570. The 571 is SA571. I'll change that.

With the depth all the way down it will be subtle, so if you find that acceptable then you could forgo the switch. You can test it very easily before committing - just clip the wire from the mod board to pin1 of the delay pot instead of soldering it to the AB PCB to test.

A couple of months ago I put a ban on new registrations from .ru email addresses. This was due to a high amount of spam coming from .ru. Seems I accidentally banned all .ru accounts though and did not realize it. I was not trying to start a new cold war here...just a dumb mistake. I've removed all bans for now so everyone should be able to log in.

There was a period this summer where we were getting hundreds of fake registrations every day but I changed the registration criteria so hopefully there will not be any further problems.

A word of warning for international buyers, if your order crosses the 39.99USD threshold before the discount it applied, you automatically have to pay the 13USD shipping option.

A little off topic, sorry: Am I likely to encounter any ticking or heterodyning from the BBD clocks with both Aquaboys in the same enclosure, or one of them in the same enclosure as a Pork Barrel or other BBD circuit?

Unfortunately, there's no way around the way Paypal calculates that shipping when a discount is used (that I know of). But, you can always break them into two orders. You will pay two shipping charges but if you do it in the right amounts, the total shipping will come out less that the regular $13 1st Class rate.

As far as combining effects like that, there is a risk but that doesn't mean it's sure to happen. Easy to test: run both builds off a single power supply when you test them before putting them in one box.

New Pickups Day

I received a set of SD Phat Cat P90s for Christmas and finally got a chance to install them in my SGJ. I've wanted a P90 SG for a long time, but I definitely did not want a second SG. So, in these went. The stock wiring on the SGJ is PCB mounted which I removed that and replaced it with CTS 500k pots and 22n Orange Drop tone caps.

I really love the neck pup. It's got a great balance, plenty fat enough but not muddy like the stock humbucker that came with the guitar. I am less sure about the bridge, though. It's got great bite but it feels a little thin on the bass to my ears. I've got the bridge pup set pretty darn close to the strings which helped a lot. I just need to spend more time with it, I think. Middle position works really well, though.

One thing's for sure: they look badass! The body finish was fading a bit so I also applied some Feed N Wax to it. Brought the luster right back.

One Q, if I may: will the modulation add-on board for the DM-2 be available at the same time as the main board?

Should be yes. Doing the final checking on that today.

I had a desktop crash this week (damn CPU fan died-now fixed) and was not able to do some of the work needed on documentation in order for this next batch of boards to release tomorrow. So, instead they will be available either on the 1st or 2nd. At the same time, I'm going to do a little sale since we have not had one in a long time (the most recent being free shipping week a few months ago).

Some may have noticed that the Timelapse has been pushed back again, and I am very sorry for that. I just was not ready for it yet and I needed to place a restock order in the month of December. So, it will be out when it's out. One added bonus - I have a midi add-on board that I will be testing out with the TL so that may be an available option. The proto is already on-had...just haven't built it yet. At the very least, the new Aquaboy (125B sized, straight DM-2 clone) is here so if you are itching for an analog delay there's an option right now.
