This is a smaller list but represents kinda where I'm going with releases. If I forgot anything major lemme know. The Tapanatorator will be the next released project so this poll covers what to release toward the end of summer/early fall. I am killing off the Cave Troll (TT PT2399) so that's not on the list. I think I am done w/PT2399 for now.

I ordered 5 sheets which should last me another year or two at the rate I'm currently etching stuff!

What happened to the plans for the Rabbit Punch ABY switcher you once mentioned?

I can still do that one. There did not seem to be a huge interest at the time. There are still quite a few projects that could be finished off and released (I still wanna get the theremin one going). Maybe it's time to do another poll on what to prioritize?

The germs being different forward voltages will mean a slight asymmetrical clipping. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. If you have a bunch of them it certainly doesn't hurt to find a closer matching pair but I wouldn't sweat it, if not.

As BrianS said, the LEDs will be much louder and a lot crunchier sounding. I like em for clipping in most every OD. But, you could more closely match the different volumes in clipping by using 1N4001 or even 1n914. They will still be different sounding than germaniums.

Cool. I'm running low of copper clad. Thanks for the heads up.

You can re-use Liquid Tin for a long time. It will start to pick up crud and sediment with each use but these will settle to the bottom of the container over a few days. So, don't shake when re-using--just pour from the top. I wonder if you could try using a coffee filter on that, though. Might help get rid of some of the containment.

Even when I was hand-making the MBP PCBs a single bottle of LT would last for a few months. I just kept re-using the stuff. The secret is to do a very light sanding on the tinned board with 0000 Steel Wool afterward then clean with Acetone.

How much are you talking about? If it's just a few ounces I wouldn't think twice about pouring it in an old plastic soda bottle diluting with some water and tossing it. If more, I would look at the manufacturers recommendation for disposal or asking if there is a neutralizing agent that you can add to it.

Open Discussion / Re: What are you playing? (games)

At this point, I am a very, very wealthy killing machine. It's getting a bit harder to find big quests now so I am doing lots of caving. I probably should stop playing but it's just too much fun.

Also, a pic of a horse I found frozen in perpetual shock.

Believe it has something to do w/ Judaism...not sure.

Sorry, I misquoted. 1st Class 2oz $9, 3oz $13

You can, by USPS standards, ship a bubble mailer via Flats. You need to have 2" min. clearance on each side of the PCB and envelope (I tape them in the center of my mailers). However, you are at the mercy of whatever USPS employee thinks the rule is. Here are the details:
http://pe.usps.com/text/qsg300/Q201c.htm

Bubble Mailers are more flexible than thick cardboard envelopes so they meet the standard better, IMO.

Anyway, if you cannot convince them that it can be sent flats, you might be able to get them through reg. 1st Class in a birthday card sized one.

2 - 3 oz 1st Class should be $9. Shipped as "Flats" it will be about $3.50. They quoted you the wrong price.

Very poor, I'm afraid.

How does the Tapanatorator compare to the TAPLFO microcontroller from electric druid?

It's actually an implementation of the TAPLFO chip as a stand-alone controller. The "hook" here is that you can plug in multiple effects to it to sync to one master tempo. So, you can plug in the trem, phaser and vibrato I've designed to go with it. Or another optical modulation project (it'll be pretty easy to convert to use the Tapanatorator).

Things have been pretty slow development-wise for the last two months but I am ready to pick up the pace. The next new project will come either at the end of this month or the very beginning of August. It will most likely be the Tapanatorator (TAPLFO utility) and two or three plug-n-play effects that go with it. I realize most people are waiting for the TT Analog Delay and I believe I will have it ready by the end of summer (so next batch after these).

Also, wife and kid going away for the weekend so that is the perfect time for me to crank out some demos. Someone requested the Danger Zone and I still owe the newest Weener Wah and Rabbit Hole. If there are any other requests please put them here and I will do my best (kind of depends on whether or not I currently have a boxed build currently!)

Not going to work. You have to use an 18v supply.
