When you guys are big shot pedal makers selling billions of dollars in pedals, don't forget us little guys left down in our small dark and damp DIY shops where one table leg is just a little too short. (Mine is none of those things but thought it was a nice descriptive effect.)

I'm pretty sure we are the least likely people to have success go to our heads...trust me. Bunch damn 40+ year olds wit kids and mortgages. Excitement is staying up to 11pm for me.

General Questions / Re: Karate Shop Wiring Question

When testing outside of an enclosure, you need to ground the sleeves of both jacks. Inside the enclosure you only need to ground one because the enclosure itself acts as a ground. That may be why you are getting nothing out.

Looks great. I like what you did with the LED. I need to try that!

Woohoo! She's adorable. Congrats!

You wired it opposite. The TR is a positive ground effect. This means your +24v goes to the square pad on the PCB (which is ground) and the sleeve goes to the round pad on the PCB. When in doubt look at the traces (or the pic of them in the doc). You can see that the round pad connects directly to R57 so that is power. Since your +24v WW is connected to ground, the sleeve connected to the round pad essentially becomes -24v.

I felt a little ridiculous wearing this chef's hat.

Yesterday I was walking up to my car and noticed step runners under the door (Jeep). I thought to myself "you know, I never really noticed those before...that's cool". Then I realized I was about to get in someone else's car. Point is, it's easy to miss big things when you are focusing on small ones (and vice versa).

Your regulator needs to be replaced. It may be related to the error you made in wiring or not. If you are reading good voltages on the other IC then your protection diode did its job...so it probably is your regulator causing the problem. What did you use and where did you get it?

I've got to say my initial reaction was that its a good thing, Autodesk make one of the best products for machinists. Fusion 360 is brilliant CAD/CAM all in one package & free for hobbyists and businesses turning over less than 100K. Hopefully they can do something like that with Eagle and remove the 100 x 80 size limit and if needs be put a pin limit in like Diptrace. I'm having to learn a 2nd package purely to make some programmable Looper boards and even now they're finished i don't feel 100% with them as its a completely different process.

They also have a history of killing off great products, too (Softimage). Plus, if Eagle goes the yearly licensing or maintenance route that is pretty much the end of it for DIY guys.

Oh god...no please. Not Autodesk. Anything but that!

Any prediction when the Harbinger One will be restocked in the regular thickness?  I'm ready to build one, but it's a large enough board that I'd rather wait for the heavier version.

Not until the current stock is pretty much gone. It doesn't make any sense for me to offer two versions of the same board (and I'd rather spend money now on other resotcks or new projects). However these boards are selling really well so I don't it'll be more than a couple of months.

First of all, thanks for the honesty about the boards.

Second, if you were to make a bundle of these, what would you include and what would the price be?

Thanks. Not much incentive to make a bundle as they are already drastically reduced in price. Anything further would be pretty close to 'break even' on cost which is not so hot for me, business-wise.

This is not an "official" demo - just me testing out the first prototype. There are a couple of circuit tweaks since I did this. We'll have something professional soon.

Tremophase?

Yeah, it's an optical tremolo with a phaser add-on. So you have have shape depth and rate controls on the tremolo and you can click in the phaser with rate depth and feedback settings. The LFO's are not synced so you can get two pulses at the same time which can create interesting patterns. Plus both have huge speed ranges so it can get pretty ridiculous. Lastly, if you turn the tremolo depth all the way down you can use it as just a phaser.

I can get one done. I've got one boxed up...I'll do it within the next couple of days.
